It's not it....
I couldn't stand the lead actor Kim Min Jong. He looks he's in his 40s but acts and dress like he's in his 20s. Both male sucked. All the relationships sucked, romantic and non-romantic ones. By the end, I couldn't care less who would end up with who.Was this review helpful to you?
Barely watchable...
Right from the beginning it became apparent what the writer intend to do to write this sloppy mess. Every small thing will alter to the writer's wish ignoring the most basic sanest common sense practice. It was really hard to look at anything else past this. No likable characters to be seen anywhere. Both guys that were chasing Do Na were pure cringe. In fact, their love triangle was the worst part about the drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Watchable but didn't quite deliver
Good choice for casting female leads but a very poor one for casting both male leads. Where did they get them? From the back alley? Weak screen presence and no chemistry with neither of their female counterparts. Unfortunately, the looks are deceiving and we didn't get what we initially thought. Just from watching the first 1/4 you may think this is about family relationships, sisters relationships and mother-daughter relationships but that was only a small part (20 eps in total?) before switching to an unnecessary work place competition and love triangle quarrels. Other dynamics were neglected too, like the other two sisters from the poor family with their old/new sister or like the troublemaker father with either of the daughters. The climax was weak, it gave all the attention and screen time to the love interest instead of the family as a whole which made Geum Ran's conclusion amongst the weakest because the drama ran out of time to even consider giving her a real wrap up other than a generic sudden change of character one. I liked the drama initially and its set up but it didn't quite deliver. Was this review helpful to you?

Goddammit! It's the usual revenge in a business setting but this time they are wearing white coats because they are in a hospital. How innovative! I was expecting the female lead to become a doctor for her revenge like they usually do in these time-skips revenge dramas but all you'll get 2-3 medical scenes at most and that's it. The very first "fatal" mistake the drama committed was the blatant incompetence of the justice system. Whenever you see that you know immediately how the rest will carry on. This was a weak revenge drama, everything was facilitated for the female lead to execute her revenge. She didn't put the effort to take revenge. The drama also had some serious pointless drag for the last 15 episodes. Even with that stretch they couldn't slap a better ending. Go Se Won doesn't have what it takes to be a male lead, maybe if he was a 2nd male lead would be better. I don't like his face anyway. Poor Ji Hoon was treated like a bag of dirt throughout the whole thing. Couldn't they give him any purpose other than being a dimwit? Park Ha Na was fine. Was this review helpful to you?
Decent enough....
The first few episodes you get to see everyone going through break-up/divorce/remorse/grief/old love/unrequited love/infidelity just to clear any past relationship and prepare every single character to start a new romance/relationship. The leads' love triangle/square might be the worst one I've ever seen. They are also the weakest part of the drama. At the same time, the main leads had a ridiculous amount of kisses and face slaps that the ML began anticipating to be slapped on the face. Writing wise, anything related to them was mostly problematic. The drama ran into some seriously stupid moments/events that made it dip into unwatchable cheap melodrama territory "temporarily" but it still have its good moments to pull itself back up. The drama's message about family and self-worth was well presented. The last 10 episodes or so were nothing but smooth sailing, minimum conflict and good vibes. Of course, they had to go for the "maximum baby making" route for the ending. Give it a shot it's decent.

Okay....
Oh god! It's a double amnesia plot. It didn't need to be 20 episodes at all. The drama follows all the old drama cliches which makes it hard for anything to stand out, the only thing notable about it is probably the cast. This is the drama where Ji Sung & Lee Bo Young met and married in real life, so there's that. Go into it without any expectations, it's an okay watch. Was this review helpful to you?
Hmm..
The tamest family drama I've ever seen. It's borderline too mundane. There's almost no conflict at all and even if there was one, it's very light and doesn't last longer than few episodes. Everyone is happy, everyone got a relationship/romance/kids/happy-ever-after/career. It can get too superficial with its events. Not necessarily a criticism but it's too ordinary. You would only stick around with it to watch the relationships develop with the younger cast. For this type of drama, I expected more baby making at the end.One more thing I found strange about the sound design is how muffled and subdued the sound is. You would hear the drop of a needle. Any background noise is very restrictive. It feels there's a switch that mute and un-mute the sound when a character speaks and stop. It's just something I kept noticing. The sound is probably fine for you, I'm just complaining too much.

It's definitely overrated for how much people call it "underrated".
At least it was shot nicely so there is that.

It's the cursed writer "Ha Myung Hee"!!
Don't expect to find a realistic portrayal of marriage and infidelity here, it's mostly quirky melodramatic maneuvers. Therefore, it's hard to see any raw emotion that carry a heavy emotional impact. Especially from Eun Jin, static stiff expressions throughout any emotional scene. Yes she tears up and her eyes get red but that's the only part of her face that moves. Also, Eun Jin had no chemistry with any of the two men. It only makes it harder to get invested. And of course, everything, with the power of magic, work out after a time skip :/Below average direction, weird inconsistent transitions and dialogues. Awkward insertions of music and sound tracks. The way the episode is divided into clips doesn't flow properly. It only get worse when they switch the topic within a scene to something irrelevant or unfitting for the scene.
I finished this drama and looked who was the screenwriter? Guess what? It's the cursed writer "Ha Myung Hee", she is the infamous writer for ruining any project she works on and this is no exception. As I said in my comment 10 months ago on her profile page "The writing is so weird, detached from reality and has no good construction.", since then, I watched 6/9 of her projects and my opinion remains the same.
Go watch "Valid Love (2014)" or "My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week (2016)".

Watch "The Guest" instead of this!
Strong first episode then goes down in a speedy downward spiral after that. This is nothing like The Guest! The Guest was superior in every possible way. How to fix? Remove the thriller, romance and drama and make it pure horror series. There was an attempt to do a supernatural/medical/police mix but none of which worked. There was 3 separate scenes wasted on 1 advertisement, talking about buying a phone, go shopping for that said phone, play with the phone with your friend. OCN needed that Samsung cash I guess lol.
The twist at the end of episode 12 ruined the entire drama, everything they went through became meaningless. Unsalvageable!
At the end, they thrown the amnesia element again to FORCEFULLY retain the priesthood imagery. What a load of horse shit!

It's a decent thriller mystery with an interesting premise and a good performance by the lead. Namkoong brought a lot of character to his character while trying to work with what turned out to be a mediocre flawed script with the usual plot holes. The pacing became problematic halfway through, as it felt sluggish and failed to maintain an engaging momentum. Its length is a contributing factor to that. The village story wasn't big enough to work with. Both female leads were poorly written and their inclusion affected the drama negatively. There was a poor attempt to force a romantic plot line which felt contrived and disrupted the narrative coherence. It would have been fine if they were to commit and go through with it rather than abandoning that. Both female leads lacked chemistry with Namkoong whether it was friendship/professional/romantic. The ending followed a typical and predictable pattern for its genre resulting in an underwhelming and unsatisfying ending. There was clearly a massive bait trying to capitalize on the "multi season" trend. Was this review helpful to you?
Ruined
Too much shouting and weeping that constantly yank you out of the drama. For the first 20 episodes the drama was somewhat fine but after episode 21 it became utterly unwatchable rancid fuming hot garbage. They blew up all of their budget on the first 20 episodes that the rest left them roaming inside the mansion with bullshit plot for the remainder. The story lacked a more concise direction and the transitions in the story were always jarring and ungraceful. Was this review helpful to you?
Barely watchable
Surprisingly, it wasn't crazy enough! I expected it to be more unhinged and fully commit to its premise but unfortunately it turned out to be a lukewarm investigation drama barely being watchable. Was this review helpful to you?
