they had one job for the last episode ad bottled it, I do have to say though they kept me engaged until the lasted second. It’s just too mild of an ending for the whole build up. Two ppl who were forbidden from being together and just had the worst wedding with the worst outfits known to man. It didn’t feel like a wedding more like a festival, and I guess he became a matriocal husband but that doesn’t do it for me with his character. Everything is just a bit mild. And what’s with the musical in the end. It’s like they really wanted to ruin the excitement and happiness we had drama left for this drama every step of the way. Also their wedding outfits were UGLY. Luoyang valley committing fashion terrosims after Qi yunke sect. They should’ve just went with the Li sects wedding attire. Ming ers wedding was a million times better than whatever we got. Even MQY clocked it and said it’s pretty but something ain’t right about the Luoying valley clothing.

So we started the drama on a confused note because of the plot dumping and character storylines, then in the middle episodes it picked back up, up until ep 36 was good it still made me want to click on ep 37 but my god was this MILD AND MID EXECUTION OF THE ENDING.

😭😭😭it was just that second burst that surprised me when he drank out of that mini vase after letting Cai Zhou go and when he was coughing up blood it just resembled a gunshot😭

Ep 36:
Okay so I am still mid episode when MQY & CZ are in the dungeon with QK after he took the power from his daughter and they are confronting him.

What is this excessive dialogue. why does everybody keep talking. I prefer the plot to be played out. A long dialogue of who did what when Qi yunke doesn’t give a shit. He literally killed his own wife and harmed his daughter to become the ultimate mega lord. Why are we still speaking to him . Not that I see a happy ending at this point bc if he’s immune to poison and also perfected the Ziwei method are they not finished😭😭 MQY is on zero battery no power left so who’s going to win exactly if they couldn’t defeat him pre transformation.

Ep 34:

Woah that “coughing up blood splatter” from MQY was so strong and so bass boosted I thought a bullet hit me😭…I am still watching the episode but I had to get this off my chest😂

But now it’s everybody’s problem if they want to defeat the black hooded villain bc mu qingyan is tired of everybody blaming him for every small thing when he has saved everyone multiple times sacrificed his life (lowk for Cai zhou) but also the six sects to have peace. It’s time for mu qingyan to put his BOOTS on to get Cai Zhou to be his wife and to not concern himself with the six sect demise. He will come out on top anyways bc he’s always steps ahead.

I’ve never read the novel whilst a show is airing, do you read till u get to the part of the drama or what’s the best way to read it? I regretted not reading how dare you with the drama as the ending is apparently rushed and everybody started to recommend the novel but it was too late for me.

Kind of disappointed we got an influx of *storylines dumped in the last episode (ep11). I realised it is bc we were so spoiled with the husband in hiding and the housebound drama that we got so many scenes focused on our MLs. Also we are only on episode 11/40💔💔

I found song hyekyo acting to be boring but go youn Jung is so extremely expressive I’ve watched all of her dramas and the way she displays so much emotion on her face makes her my No1 k actress. The wooden acting for me would be someone like im soo young and many male actors. But that’s the thing preference is also a thing I prefer go youn Jung and don’t drag any actress down but ppl don’t act the same but feral instead.
