Wow supper, tyen y put him as main lead they can focus this story into other leads, i don't know y he accept this role, lack of screen time in the entire episode. Support role get 15min screen preswnce but he get only 2min like a suppprting charcater and he dissapeared.

I dropped this drama. I really hate fl. This is the first time i drop xianxia drama. I am really sad 🙂 even 5 min screen presnce he barely get in each episode, while fl is on screen almost the entire time and entire episodes. If its ml centred drama atleast they should give him proper screen presence but they don't why? I really can't understand 😑

From watching this drama, what I understood is that it is supposed to be a male lead–centered story. However, in each episode, the male lead gets only around 5 minutes of screen time, while the female lead gets about 20–25 minutes. Since this is his journey and the story is focused on his character, he should have been given much more screen presence.
What is even more surprising is that several supporting characters receive 10–15 minutes of screen time in each episode. In that case, I do not understand why the director chose to give the male lead so little screen time.
If director like fl so much he can put this drama as fl centred story can't he? Every ep she gets 25min screen presence but not ml😑

What marquis? They didn't properly show his fight scenes and war and she went to war instead of him.This drama actually about both of them, not a drama that only focuses on fl. But director degrade his character in this drama and doesn't give him as much as screen presence and fight scenes

I’m currently on episode 11, and from this point itself it’s very clear who is getting more screen presence. In episode 8, the male lead had only about two minutes of screen time, while the rest of the episode was focused entirely on the female lead. Since this story is supposed to be based on his journey, he should be getting the screen presence he deserves rather than the female lead dominating most of the narrative.
From what I’ve seen so far, the drama is showing much more of her journey, and I’ve started to lose interest because of that 🙂. Still, since I’m a huge xianxia fan, I’ll continue watching it even if I have to skip many scenes.

I don't know why director gave fl more screen presence than him. Its basically his story and journey they why she get more time in the screen and also he doesn't have much dialogues and I skipped most of scenes of her.

Why this drama isn't just about him, it clearly states that the drama focuses on ml, then they didn't properly show him and also he didn't have much dialogues. If its focuses on fl story they don't gave much screen presence to ml and his entry only after the end of 1st episode and show only 1-2min. If its opposite fl get more screen presence than ml,based on my experince.

The narration clearly talks about both of them, so they should have given equal importance to both characters in terms of fight scenes and screen presence. After Episode 17, the ML hardly had any screen presence at all. Not only that, the FL had no real war experience, yet she was able to kill such a powerful and highly experienced general, which felt quite unrealistic. From what I understood, the drama seems to focus more on overhyping the FL than giving balanced development to both leads.

Then why did they make the ML a general in the first place? They could have made this purely a female-led story, and there would have been no need for an ML at all. Since this is supposed to be the story of both characters, both of them should have been given equal fight scenes and screen presence. Many viewers watch the drama because they are fans of the ML, so he also deserves a strong role with proper action scenes and enough screen time. If this was intended to be only the FL’s story, then they could have focused entirely on her character, and there would have been no issue. In most dramas I’ve watched, even when the story is supposed to focus on the ML, the FL still ends up getting more screen presence. 🫡

All C-dramas seem to be like this — the female lead usually gets more screen presence, even when the story is supposed to focus on the male lead. 🙂 I completed this drama by skipping a lot of scenes and watched only the male lead’s parts.

Then the female lead comes, fights the battle, and after everything is over, he is given an entry. I really don’t understand why the director reduced his role so much in this drama, despite him being a general.
This is the story of both of them, so both characters should have been given equal fight scenes and equal screen presence. Even after 17 episodes, he gets only about one or two minutes of screen time. On top of that, his screen presence is very limited. After episode 17, they hardly show him at all, and even some of the villains seem to have more screen presence than he does.

I watched this drama because of HMh but i dropped midway, there are so many unnecessory characters and also he didn't get enough screen presence its really sad. They mostly show rong family members and sisters fights its really annoying and also fl has much more screen presence but ml only had limited presence throughout the entire episodes. I hope his next drama won't be like this🙂

Like he doesn't get enough screen presence on all of his dramas eventhough its focused on his story like dashing youth, glory, unclouded soul, back from the brink, fof, etc🙂
