I started the first ep, dropped it and restarted again as i have nothing else to watch (waiting for the new ep of other shows). Just finished the first episode but not sure if i will like it going on. Is this a slice of life commedy kind of drama? Not the biggest fun of those if they don't have charismatic leads to give some life to the story and these leads dont seem interesting enough, hope I'm mistaken 😅 how many episodes did you watch before putting it on hold?

I like the story so far but i really feel they need a better villian than the low confident emperor who will always play the victim and justify his actions by blaming the world. At least that is how he appears for now. Hope that the prince of nanyuan will have some major role

I think some of the scenes were cut for other reasons in this one, like the hug when she was saved from dying. There is nothing going on there to censor so i just guess the director decided he didnt want a hug there

I just want the 2ml to be loved back by somebody, so hoping the 2fl will appear and be interesting ❤

Probably they wont include something like that on the tv show as it would be too controversial. Thank you for the novel spoilers, makes it easier to wait for the daily episodes 😀 fingers crossed they dont change the happy ending

The girl from 7 years ago was his wife not some passing acquaintance 🙄 as well she died in a tragic way, do you really think it is easy just to erase that kind of trauma? The Queen was a proper noble lady of the period, very serious, following the etiquette etc. I find all four characters likable (queen, king, fl, 2ml)

I wish they would stop forcing the triangles in the shows. I wish the 2ml would back off in a healthy way. As well it is depressing they rarely find a new love interest for the 2ml...

But the kisses etc in A Familiar Stranger are very much explicit for example, so i dont understand how the censorship works 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Just saw it as well 😱 i was already getting the feeling that the emperor would make her his wife at some point as he seems the kind of person who always find a justification for his shortcomings. Hope she will find a way to escape the palace or fake her death. I wish to know what happens in the novel 😟

I guess at some point the Emperor will decide she needs to be his wife and will merry her without her consent. In case that is what happens in the novel, is she gonna have kids with the Emperor? 🤢🤮 he just gives me this sleezy and evil vibe. Maybe I'm wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm in full speculation here while waiting for the new episode

I love the FL, she is very likeable and the actress is quite good in balancing drama and comedy. I prefer she pushes away the 2ml as she is clearly interested and attracted to the King. At least she is not giving him mixed signals and is being quite clear about it. By yes the 2ml is so wonderful (so far 😅 hope they dont change his character).

There is a love triangle, but the FL is attracted to the ML very quickly. She has great chemistry with the 2ML as well and the 2ML is very likeable 😅 I prefer the ML as he is more interesting as a character in my book but a lot of people prefers 2ML. The story goes from complete comedy to drama and back, reminds a bit of Mr Queen. The main characters are well done and likeable.

She just didn't seemed bothered too much about it (or scared) she just wanted to help 😄 I'm sure in other circumstances she wouldnt have been that calm. With him she felt safe enough. If it was the Prince/Emperor she would have panic more when she saw him affected in some way by the incense
