The brother is the kind of character I enjoy in his eccentricity. I wish he was one of the main cast, just as a character, not a romantic interest, because he is much older, but he is cast as a guest role so 🥲
only 2 episodes but already worried for the inevitable sad ending (maybe not? idk?) bc she can't stay in shin…
Maybe Seori is her reincarnation, and she will just get her memories of this life back. Hopefully. And of course, without losing the ones of who she was in the past life. I don't know, that feels like the best outcome considering Seori was just filming a scene when "she arrived," so not like in transmigration novels where the person is 💀 and their soul is gone, etc
I am enjoying the story so far, but I would lie if I said I find the romance amazing. Considering both leads so far, it just gives me the impression of a middle aged man going after a young teen 🥲 Even if I try to concentrate on the actors' ages and pretend that is the difference they have in drama, the gap between them in terms of maturity and where they are in their life, goals, behaviour, etc, is just too huge. I think the way it is written so far, it just makes him feel even older than what he is actually supposed to be. So I hope they will narratively close more of the gap between them in terms of maturity in the coming episodes
Will the fl become stronger ? I’m on episode 13 and it’s kinda bored to see her weak smh 🤦 🤧
From what I've understood so far, she is quite powerful, but she is her own enemy. I mean, she has her doubts, etc., and when she acts on what she believes (and it goes against sect rules), she feels guilty and uncertain of what is right, and that diminishes her power. She's like a person from our own world who has a lot of self-doubt. I guess it will be a journey for her to discover what she wants to stand for, so I guess it will be an up and down journey until maybe the final battle. Also, she is not really weak either it is just that the others are strong too and they do attack in groups. I am more annoyed that the ML decided to become human in these dangerous times, diminishing his own power. I mean, if I were him and I were so powerful, I would rather make the world a bit better (and safer) place (from the psycho sects) before I become super vulnerable as a human so I could have a nice life. I think he knows it now that he has lost almost half of his power 😅
Wushuang society people in this drama are so cringe 😬 They shouldn’t have given them so much screen time.…
I think the drama was trying to show their goofy, lighter side, and for some people it just came across as a bit cringe. But they’re actually quite important to the story, because they’re just ordinary humans trying to stand up against superhumans. It also feels like the sects (unable to ascend) are becoming corrupted. they can't reach real immortality and they’re turning to controlling humans, even though they shouldn’t. Since they can’t become true immortals, they’re trying to hold on to power in other ways
We didn't see a proper death for him, and he was injured off-screen, so he is probably alive. Also, he wasn't buried with others. If they really killed him off, we would see some epic sequence because he is an important character
What I understood is that the brother who passed the exam (last place?) killed another brother when he was 8 years…
He was adopted into the family under the deceased brother's name so posthumously the deceased brother is his legal father (that is what I understood but I watched it with wonderful MangoTV subs, so... 😅)
can someone pls explain the male leads backstory with his brothers? i didnt understand that part
What I understood is that the brother who passed the exam (last place?) killed another brother when he was 8 years old because he was jealous of him. The family thought it was an accident all these years. The mother adopted a child in her son's place to continue his lineage (that is the ML's young nephew who came first in the exam).
Ep. 4: Let's jump in the river (proceeds to stand there instead of jumping). Basically, she went to save Zhong Lu, but Lu ended up saving her instead (few times) 🥲
