it's gonna be a while before the casting is finalised, let alone filming and editing. there are so many details to look out for. just as an example, the actor playing jinren should be able to speak korean, english and new shanghainese (not sure if that's right as i couldn't find much on which language was spoken in 1800s shanghai). that's not gonna be easy to find. on top of that, the actor playing yun needs to look like jinren too. stuff like portraits can only be made once casting is done as well, so i don't think this drama will be released until years later
