I'm worried how this will come across to Thai fans, there's already so much backlash about the story being changed…
They bought the webtoon but they did not give any credits to the author saddens me. They didnt mention that they have discussed the changes with the author who did the main job. Thats really disappointing
I read the webtoon months ago and this adaptation just makes me sad and disappointed. I am not hating the actors or anything but i dont understand why international fans dont understand the problem with the series.
1. The author did a thorough research on Thailand before illustrating the webtoon. How the society worked and everything. How the emperor and prince and homophobia worked in those times. Alright the producers did NOT respect any of that.
2. They said they had to remove politics. Alright but then why did yall have to write a HAREM?! the story was much more than just the mc playing lovey dovey with the characters. It was about homophobia, manipulation and the bond between Chaichet and Kosol. The documentary does NOT justify the fact that they changed the whole story.
3. I have a problem with Chaiyachet's age. He was a kid in the webtoon and he wanted to prove himself to his brother and he had significant character development but they HAD TO age him up. for what??? TO GIVE HIM A PARTNER like CMON not everyone in a story NEEDS a partner fgs...
4. I love Ping, I loved him since Pitbabe s1. I love his chemi with Nut. Pingnut is good but... my love Ping isnt... Kosol unfortunately. NO HATE!!! Kosol is a ruthless character, warrior, scary, Tan SKINNED (oh god I love when they represent the south asian genes), WITH A TATTOO that proves that he is a warrior.... But just... no... I know Ping worked SO HARD for the role but he isnt a fit...
5. I DONT LIKE HAREM!! Prince and Kosol were LOYAL to each other. That was toxic at first but the character development *chef's kiss*. the guy with glasses and servant or the woman NO ONE WAS LOVE INTEREST. I was okay until I saw they changed the MC (webtoon wise - cunning, smart, quick thinker, strategist, loyal, fearless) to MC (drama - aloof, someone who loiters around, dumb, weak) etc... i think even the script writer knew how effed they this up atp.
GUYS before yall say, "You are just a HATER" I am not. I was willing to support this until I read the webtoon. I am not thai, I read the Fan Translation of the webtoon so stop gaslighting yourself. I am willing to give this a try but I am scared I will be disappointed.

Honestly after watching the ongoing dramas and Top Form Pitbabe is kinda lacking behind and I cant really point it out where which is why I feel frustrated. I am very annoyed at the misunderstanding dynamic btw Charlie and Babe again like it happened already in S1 guys you gotta chill down... Why cant you talk abt Willy to Charlie, Babe?? Aint that dumb?? Also Why cant Jeff tell Alan abt his vision since its back?? Isnt that why they are bf??? to share their problems and look after each other for love?? but ig the progress of the story matters more. Kinda invested in PeteChris and KentaKim story with how Tony came back from Dead. But the ep 2 fell off I would rate it 8/10. Hope I will feel motivated enough to watch the whole series

I couldn’t figure out what was the difference between cut and uncut.
the uncut version shows more chemistry and dynamic between the leads. which felt bland in the cut version i feel the uncut vers is much better to watch
