Genuinely excellent, the best onscreen chemistry in the genre

This series is mind-blowingly good. It isn't just 'great for a BL', it's sincerely incredible. The music is great, production value is through the roof, the casting is perfect and every actor did an amazing job.

Mile and Apo as Kinn and Porsche sell their love almost effortlessly. Mile's Kinn is strong, loyal and loving, and Apo's Porsche is headstrong, wild and passionate. The two of them together creates explosive chemistry. Underneath it all, there's this undeniably charming silliness to both of their characters that just feels real. There is so much life to their relationship, and rather than having them fall in love just because the plot demands it to be so, you can feel them falling for one another as the episodes progress. It's tangible. It's fucking awesome.

Oh, and a little self-indulgent point here? The intimate scenes do not hold back. They're well-acted, beautifully shot and extremely emotional. They are extremely explicit, but not in a gratuitous way. All of them serve to further the plot or express Kinn and Porsche's relationship progression.

There is one personal gripe I have with the series, and that is the second pairing. It's inherently unhealthy and abusive and, although I put up with a lot of toxic shit in the fictional relationships I enjoy, I cannot support this one in good morale. If you love dark, edgy and dysfunctional relationships in your media (nothing wrong with that as long as you can differentiate what works in real life compared to what works in fantasy), you may actually really take a liking to the second pair. It didn't click with me, but there's a portion of the fandom who loves them together very devotedly.

I almost never rewatch anything, and I immediately rewatched this series a second time with a large group of people because I felt inclined to spread the love around this series. All of them agreed it was amazing. If you skip on this, you're cheating yourself something really great.

Incredible acting, great chemistry and an important storyline

This series is remarkable. The chemistry between Off and Gun feels very real, and the story is both interesting and has something important to say beyond its fictional plotline. It's extremely slow-burn with the relationship aspects, but that makes the payoff that much sweeter.

Gun in particular did incredible here. His ability to play off the features of his face and expression switching between White and Black is, to be honest, a little terrifying. There's a polarizing aura between the two of them; White is hesitant and gentle, intelligent and introspective. Black is explosive, passionate and intimidating. You can tell which one you're looking at within seconds of looking at his face. When the same actor looks at Sean, even during casual conversation, you can tell when one has love behind his eyes and the other does not. It's one of the coolest things I've seen in acting ever. The side couple is also quite good, but did not click with me personally to the same degree.

This is one of those shows where you can watch the leads fall in love as the episodes drift by. It's satisfying and heartwarming and, at times, heart-wrenching. It's good enough to be enjoyed by someone who doesn't necessarily watch BL on a regular basis, and isn't weighed down by the usual tropes you might find in similar shows.

If I were to nitpick, some editing choices are weird (especially the music, the first half of the series has some baffling music choices) and I do wish there were a few more romantic scenes between Sean and White. Aside from those very small points, incredible series that should not be missed.

Charming and sexy, but overall not spectacular

It's full of tropes and it's cheesy, but has some very sexy intimate scenes and both pairs some degree of chemistry. There's drama with the second pairing that surrounds around one character's trauma, but no substantial plot anywhere in the series. Overall, worth watching for the cute moments.

For me, the highlights of the series were Boss (Phayu) and Fort (Pai) without a doubt. Noeul as Rain is flat and uninteresting at best and downright cringe at worst, and is completely one-dimensional when it comes to writing. Peat has a naturally cute and funny take on his role as Sky, but cannot act during any of the emotional scenes, which pretty distracting and did the somewhat aspects of his storyline absolutely no justice. There's plenty about this series to nitpick, so if you have high standards, you will definitely have complaints.

The reasons I like this series are all relatively shallow. There's some tongue in the kisses (which is notoriously rare, if you're familiar with this genre) and it is sometimes charming.

If you have a few extra hours to binge this, go in with low expectations and you probably won't have a bad time. It's cozy and comfy and cute boys kiss, just don't prepare yourself for some kind of masterpiece.
