Many Chinese costume dramas have happy ending + satisfying ending. You have so many choices with those categories. For example Story of Kunning Palace, Blossom, The Prisoner of Beauty, Coroner's Diary, Love Like The Galaxy, and etc many more. If I need to mention all Chinese dramas with happy ending, then I have to write many pages of them. It's because there are SO MANY CHINESE COSTUME DRAMAS WITH HAPPY ENDING.
For me, KMLM sad ending is more acceptable and natural than The Double open ending with special (forced) episode.
