There are also many other Chinese costume dramas that have better pace, well written conflicts and storylines. For examples = The Prisoner of Beauty, Pursuit of Jade, Story of Kunning Palace, Blossom, The Double, The Glory, Legend of The Female General, Fated Hearts, Love Like The Galaxy, Glory, Kill Me Love Me, Are You The One, The Rise of Ning, etc many more. Even Yang Zi's Flourished Peony is far better than this drama.
