I disagree. Their chemistry is good as partner and couple. Their romance is slowly build up through the story. They have a sweet kiss in ep 31+. Romance is NEVER out a place in this drama.

This drama is different with many other Chinese romance palace politics dramas. But the romance is always there. Even the Childhood friends trope is for romance.

Please STOP asking STUPID QUESTION about Rebirth dramas!

We already had so many REBIRTH and TIME TRAVEL THEMES in Full Length Costume dramas SINCE 2022. Wanna examples? Lost Track of Time, Story of Kunning Palace, Blossom, The Princess Royal, Si Jin, etc. Plus there are so many short dramas and vertical dramas about Rebirth theme as well.

It's production team CHOICES if they wanna use Rebirth theme or not. All those dramas (Blossom, Si Jin, The Princess Royal, Lost Track of Time, etc) use Rebirth and Time Travel themes DIRECTLY into their plots and they can be aired safely without problem.

Xianxia dramas also ALWAYS have REINCARNATIONS and MULTIPLE LIFETIMES theme in their stories.

What do you mean AGAIN? MANY CHINESE COSTUME DRAMAS (90% OF THEM) HAVE ROMANCE IN THEIR STORIES.

Who said that? IQiyi subtitles are VERY GOOD. MangoTV is the one who had bad subtitles especially from earlier release.

No. IQiyi subtitles are very good. It's on par with WeTV and Youku subtitles. The worst is MangoTV subtitles.

Generic costumes? Are you kidding me? Many other Chinese Costume dramas also have grand costumes. This drama was set in Ming Dynasty. Yes they are beautiful, BUT other Chinese dynasties such as Tang Dynasty, Han Dynasty, Song Dynasty, Qin Dynasty, Three Kingdoms era, Southern - Northern Dynasties, etc also have elegant and beautiful costumes. Many Fantasy Costume dramas also have beautiful designs.

STOP SPREADING FALSE STATEMENT! Who said Rebirth theme is banned in China? Have you watched many Chinese dramas? There are so MANY Rebirth dramas in China. For examples = Story of Kunning Palace, Blossom, The Princess Royal, Si Jin, Lost Track of Time, etc many more. That's for Full Length dramas. We also have so many Rebirth dramas and Time Travel dramas in short dramas.

Actually, this drama was planned to be released as 24 eps full length drama (45 mins) in the beginning, BUT Iriene Song got allegations about her involvement with Yu Menglong case from last year. So, the production team decided to divide the drama eps into short dramas category (15 mins duration) with 38 eps.

Wrong! Iriene Song always do full length dramas. She never had shorter dramas like you said.

Second couple with steamy scenes? What do you mean? How about the main couple? I want main couple with a lot of kissing and steamy scenes!

Bai Lu and Zhou Ye are also so badass as female fighters in other dramas (Unveil Jadewind and Legend of The Female General).

Victoria Song is also very good in fighting scenes with Fight for Love.

Zhang Ling He is always great in romance dramas. His other dramas like Story of Kunning Palace, My Journey to You, The Best Thing, etc are very great to watch!
