Also how tf they survive ep7?? Like most of them looked pretty dead and all of sudden they were alive again. Extras died from one bullet, they survived 6 shots straight in chest from an arms length distance ^^ make it make sense.

Nonetheless I still liked it overall. Just the last 2 episodes were a bit too unrealistic.

Tan Xuan Lin is the ML and yes there is a love triangle but it’s one sided and by the time it can fully form the leads are already a couple.
It’s kinda toxic love in the beginning but yes it definitely has romance.
it’s a happy ending for the couple but since it’s a republican era drama it also has its bittersweet side.

The cast got changed 😅
