After finding out that this was originally going to be the first MMPR season, I was fascinated and curious on what this season was like since it was one year before Zyuranger. Well here;s my thought on the show, This is the most interesting inspiring cast I had ever seen in Sentai. I love there development from one way to another. The villains, good god are the greatest there will ever be in Super Sentai history. There is so much twists and turns I can't even say or reveal on here. So if you are a fan of sentai and your curious on the vintage ones, this is the perfect way to start off with.

This season when I first gazed upon it in 2004 was a call back answer to the 80s Metal Hero franchise like Gavan. The cast is very memorable, fun and bad ass in there own style. Ban/Deka Red got his hyperactive personality that is mixed with his passion and dedication to get everything straight while he's one fireball. Hoji/Deka blue is a perfectionist, yet cocky shooter is very complex. Sen/Deka green is who I may call the Billy of the team, yet there is not much else to characterize. Jasmine/Deka Yellow to me personally is both hot and tough as nails with a calm, collective personality(so she's my favorite character along with Doggie). Umeko/Deka Pink is kinda like Sailor Moon for they are both cute and goofy but will have some serious moments. Lastly Tetsu/Deka Break is your nonsense guy who is both a hot shot and
The mentors are great, like I mention before Doggie is one of my favorite rangers because he's a tough bad ass yet dose have a soft caring spot for his team. The music is one of the best there will be in Super Sentai. The story is amazing and completely different from other Suoer Sentai you will see(PS can't explain since it'll a lot cost spoilers). In the end I totally so recommend this to any person.

Since it's American counterpart is poor in my opinion, unlike Power Rangers Samurai this blows it a giant amount out of the water. Shinkenger you can say is one of the best sentais from the 2000s which can make a lot of nostalgia factors to those who were fans of Maskman or Rurouni Kenshin which are two I can recommend if you love or like this show. Takeru is one of the greatest bad-ass red warriors, he's complex(no spoilers), his chemistry with Mako, and maybe you could consider how his development with his fellow vassals and childhood friend Genta. The designs of both the team and villains are just very cool and very unique one of my favorites. The rest of the cast is unforgettable, and there is some interesting dark villains like Juzo, Dayu and Akumaro. The opening credits of the show is really kick ass since the band Psychic Lover also did Dekaranger(other sentai season). However if I had to make some down parts to the show it would be where you later near the end it has cliches that are either weird or eyes rolling. Another I say is bad is where the humor is to me sour where it can be just odd. In the end, I love this season despite flaws.
