On episode 11 right now and I just love how openly mature and adult this drama is ! I adore cdramas but sometimes the PG-ness of it kind of takes you out of any relatability in the storytelling. I’m so pleasantly surprised by this so far

I’m very confused by everyone’s advice here - I found the first four episodes were more set up for world-building and introducing characters, and then the plot really started to take off from episodes 5 and 6. It’s really up to you, but I think it’s getting more intriguing every episode and it stays visually stunning throughout

Soooo good. The most visually stunning drama I have ever seen and the plot really starts to pick up around episode 5. The mystery is getting veryyy interesting

wowww, what a sad coordinated hate campaign to bring this from a 8.3 to 7.9 in a few hours. No matter, this project is the top drama right now doing record numbers in China on TV broadcasts and MDL ratings mean absolutely nothing in the face of such success. It’s been received with commendation by the general public

you know people can still be drop dead gorgeous at any age right? youth isn’t something to strive for, I personally think I’ve never seen him more handsome than in this drama

I think this is the kind of drama where much of the motivations and reasons for behaviour won’t make itself clear until the story progresses. It’s enigmatic and shrouded in mystery intentionally.

I read somewhere that due to censorship, they had to change an entire character’s name and certain words so unfortunately it won’t be perfectly in sync at times :/

I watch a lot of romance dramas and tbh this is really refreshing to me that it isn’t! It feels way more mysterious and bigger than a love story. There’s actually still a lot of chemistry and tension between ML and supporting leads, so it still scratches that itch in a way
