i want a whole drama with just those two, loved the dynamics so much and the case-solving background plot was the cherry on top

the main couple romance is so endearing i love it so much, both leads are such cutie patooties even at 50yo lol

fourth sister's romance carried this drama for me. and i knew qiongnu would get robbed of storyline but i was so upset to see it play through. i was most excited for her romance with the lost brother but they rlly rushed it within half an ep. there was so much potential for that pairing. overall i think this drama could have been better if they didn't take the approach to focus on one couple every 6-8 eps, and instead did overlapping storylines. most people loved third sister's romance with chai an but after ep 9 they basically disappeared and many fans were upset. i also wouldve liked to see them more, as well as fourth sister's couple. i think the most engaging romance plot (after fourth sis of course) was definitely the youngest sister's, it kept me entertained even if the romance wasn't exactly one of my favs. also the whole issue of the men being badly written really threw me off, the first three couples (3rd sis, 2nd sis, and 1st) were a bit iffy because of this reason. i think once 4th sister's romance started, the drama picked up a little bit and was more bearable to watch through. still really upset about qiongnu because she was one of my fav characters and completely robbed of a significant plotline

true, now that i think about it, it could have been an arranged marriage too for business reasons and then love blossomed between them as time passed.

this is a sign to get him in a haters to lovers drama (with jin kijoo duh)

the tension between him and yuri in good job was actually kinda crazy... i was rlly like wait... 👀

i wish they could have shown us sangsoon's , kyunghwan, or hojeongs grandkids through the same actors reprising their roles in the present day timeline. kind of sad that yeonghan ends up all alone with no way to relive the time with his friends

now i know why all his team members were passed away in the present day... in the 1971 Chief Inspector drama, the main cast for the investigation team is all passed away except for the man who plays detective park yeonghan... the emotions during the cemetery scene must be real sadness actor choi boolam feels about his friends.. really touching i enjoyed it. also never knew the age of inspector seo hojeong but in my head he eventually gets married to bong nansil lol. is this canon lol someone lmk
