isn't Shinonome kaori Tendo's aunt? I think I remember him calling her so. But if she's FL's mother, aren't her and ML blood-related? Unless he was just calling her aunt because he knew her since he was a kid? I feel like I missed some important context lol I would love some clarification
the stories of women who have generationally been taught to shrink themselves and settle for much less when it comes to men. true, silent female rage bottled up in a drama, i'm enjoying it quite a bit.
a story written by women, for women.
not a single likable male character except maybe takiko's love interest
with only one episode remaining for me to watch, i doubt any of the women in the drama will get justice. but in my mind i have hope they will work to break the norm and teach their sons to be better men, and their daughters to never settle for less
i watched the french original a few years ago and was so excited when this was announced, i really like how they've adapted it, but super sad they didn't keep the charm that the og has. in the movie, the characters are very defined by their unique quirks and the color palette is so beautiful, i felt the drama lacking in those aspects.
looks like theyre trying to tease this show as a Doctor Romantic Kim type of series with han seokkyu as the title character, but the other casts being switched around. season 2 being led by kim dongjun
kdrama industry's issue with taking very young actresses and making them act much older than they are in romances with grown men... this is so messed up she was only a child. they've done the same with shin eunsoo, lee re, kim yoojung, kim sohyun. i pray for all the young girls in the industry
