As far as I remember It happens after the princess arc he is even scared that she will reject him at the last moment that he puts a compulsion spell on her but our ling miao miao is so special it doesn't work on her but still gets married to him voluntarily it's a bit intense in the novel during that part it portrays her love and his obsession but this is mu Sheng we are talking about u saw his siscon behaviour now imagine the same behaviour but towards someone he loves God but it's hot at the same time

There are no timelines it's just great while on hospital bed had a cardiac arrest where his brain was still active so he was trying to correct all his mistakes which happened in his life that's all no parallel worlds or timelines

I agree with everything u say but I have a small doubt when great was changing his regrets in his dream world he took a bullet for his mom (she was later shot in the head that's another story) then according to reality she should have died infront of the family office but now she is well and fleeing across the border
No wait I got the answer as I was typing this question in the dream world great saved the women from the car accident hence that woman paid some man to kill great's mom but in reality the woman was dead by that point so no one was hired to kill great's mom.
That now brings me to my question if in reality the accident woman died then and there and never got a chance to hire a killer how did great see the 4 min future where his mom was shot which made him come back to protect her
