I am new in getting into Chinese dramas as of late but this Rom-com is definitely one of the best that I've watched, causing me to binge watch a majority of the episodes, even downloading the free app to catch up! The 'iQLYL' app I used to watch has ENG subs but keep in mind they are kind of worded odd but still understandable.

TL;DR - All in all this is a simple fluffy, heartwarming rom-com that has more to give the more you watch. If you are looking for romance that's sweet, cute, has just the right amount of comedy and is practically angst free (featuring cute animals), then this is the drama for you!

Although the plot seems childish and weird (the comet name is literally WTF 666... lol) the drama definitely has a lot more heart and love to it in such a pure and endearing way. Like how the leads develop their companionship/friendship/relationship and help each other grow as adult individuals. Being able to see and feel the growth of the main leads was really heartwarming. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this series. The chemistry between all the characters work so well together, especially the main leads (the kisses!! The FL is so cute). Even all the side/support characters won me over by the end in some way. The story although sometimes predictable is done well enough to the point where you actually anticipate to see something happen. Another positive is that the pace of the drama was great. Although some plot lines are briefly mentioned and shelved for later episodes, difficult/hindering situations never drag on for too long.

I do think the series could have been cut by an episode or two story wise but the more sweet moments they give me I will gladly take! Something I think this drama could've done better is finding a better way to portray the "Cat" personality but once watching, I guess I can understand how it's difficult to portray and how each animal has their own unique personality. There are plot holes here and there but none big enough (imo) that break the reality, just small things like, "no way you can get a taxi that fast".

Wish this drama had more episodes! I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this since i can be picky with dramas, but the cast is great, the comedic timings/settings, and overall message of the show hit the sweet spot for me! I really enjoyed it though it may be cheesy to others, maybe because of how I related to it through liking kpop. The best part of the show for me was the comedy and the relationships between the protagonist and the other main/support characters; realistic and hit true to home in many instances. A slice of life and comedy that isn't afraid to be a little weird but made it work.
Not sure if everyone would enjoy it like I did but I found myself laughing more than I thought I would (and maybe singing to the songs too).

Webtoon makjang done right

TL;DR - a 120 episode makjang drama condensed into 12 episodes done right. A much better version compared to the webtoon that has more depth and is overall, a fun watch that hits both dramatic and romantic moments that you expect from a Cinderella revenge story plot.

I'm currently nearing the end of reading the webtoon version but can already say that this live action drama version, in my opinion, is much more enjoyable and digestible. The flow, script, and depth in this is much smoother and the actors do a great job enhancing their characters and making this story with its exaggerated characters from the webtoon, believable. The balance between the cute comedic moments to cheering for the FL during her revenge was so well done; it really made me hooked from the first episode without prior knowledge of the webtoon/plot.

A Cinderella revenge story that's entertaining, fleshed out, and easily watchable. FL in my opinion did a great job and was another reason I was hooked from the beginning. I've watched her since her daily 120 episode drama days and was glad to see her play a non-evil main lead. She really has improved over the years and this drama really showed her charms. The veteran actors and younger cast had great chemistry.

A watch that goes as you expect it to, cheesy flaws and all, but is still entertaining and well converted from its original format that gets you hooked from the start.

Initially watched this since I am a fan of Otomo Karen and wanted something new I could watch with her in and this was a pleasant surprise. Six episodes may seem too short for a drama but I think six was just enough to get the story across while still delivering an impact. The plot may be predictable since the summary/synopsis already talks about it (death, worldly regrets) but moments still hit hard and I enjoyed it more than I expected I would. This drama is one of those that makes you feel sad but understanding and warm by the end. We all need a reminder from the message of this drama once in awhile. No regrets watching this at 1AM haha
