I don't mind romance with FL or his wife. Anything is fine, as long as the main story delivers. For this kind of story, either ML or FL normally dies at the end. But, my wish would be both the ML and FL survive till the end and ML becomes human again. That's the happy ending for the story. Romance doesn't matter.
