I love Lee Jae Wook as Ji-ui but I suddenly had the random thought that I would actually also love to see Lee Jae Wook play a more angsty and tsundere Chiyeon à la his role as Baek Kyung in Extraordinary You or his cameo in Boyfriend on Demand lol.
I really thought the depression would drag and Hari would be in a spiral for a few episodes so I was really surprised by episode 8 in a good way
Hari’s reaction was completely opposite to what I expected yet felt so realistic. It’s as though after the initial shock, while still sad, a load has been lifted off her shoulders now that the event she had dreaded for so long has played out. It’s as though the thoughts in her head were torturing her more than the reality itself, which felt strangely true to life. And that rather than wallowing in self pity she found a way to go on in a way that she knew her grandmother would want to see more than anything in the world. In the end she honoured her grandmother by going on. I thought this part was brilliantly written.
Ji-ui was so so adorable this episode with his facial expressions when he woke up with his neck aches and I really loved how Ju Cheon supported and egged ji-ui on all episode. The comedy is back and I loved it!
Really well written and acted episode, though so very melo with only our cute second couple providing comic relief. Loved seeing Ji-ui still showing up as a great doctor, suturing wounds to ease the hearts of those left behind, and still sticking by his doctor’s code and respecting halmoni’s wishes, and the circle back to the patient they treated previously was heart warming.
Hari was frustrating and irrational and I guess she will eventually realise that… hopefully.
Shin Ye Eun was amazing in that last scene, so heart breaking.
Maybe I'm a hard-hearted Hannah, but I am really uber frustrated with Hari. I totally understand why she was so…
I agree with all of your points… really frustrated with Hari this episode but appreciate that she’s been written as a flawed character with her own blind spots and growth arc rather than just a one dimensional manic pixie girl.
It seems I've missed a lot of Jae Wook's dramas. This is the first drama I've watched of his. Ah, I genuinely…
He’s such a good actor! Excited for you to explore all his previous characters.. cheeky green flag in AOS s1, and a lot of tsundere roles (all quite distinct from one another) - Dear Hongrang, AOS s2, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, Extraordinary You
Things I’m really crossing my fingers to see tomorrow
- Hari coming to understand and respect her grandma’s POV - Ji-ui feeling tormented but still showing up as a great doctor - Hari and Ji-ui making up - Hari being clear to Chiyeon that she’s not interested even if she’s still upset with Ji-ui - More of Ji-ui’s back story - Chiyeon getting his own storyline standalone of interfering with the ML/FL
Lol ok I know I’m asking for a lot so maybe even if I just get 2-3 of these I’ll be happppy
The AI visual effects are really turning me off. Once you start accepting AI in your kdramas, it's a slippery…
Yes I was seriously surprised! they spent long periods filming on an island, and even built a set for the boat medical scene with a rocking boat, water and green screens
exactly but on insta he is protrayed as weakling, losing aura , uglier compare to sml by fan girls
I’ve seen this reel but I see more reels of the FL and ML with 100k+ likes saying the kiss that broke the internet! I mean my reels are tailored to me I guess :)
The more I watch this show the more I’m charmed by our atypical hero - anxious, clumsy, soft but steadfast and full of inner strength, who is at his most confident when he is treating his patients and standing up for the woman he loves. Looking forward to continue watching his growth arc

Edit: there’s one with 6m+ likes!
For episodes 5 and 6: every time the previews scare me a bit about the triangle and then in the actual episode it’s just a fake out pretty much.
