I agree with karolina comment. This really should've been a series instead of a movie. I have so many questions. What happened to hayama rin? Her mom/aunt literally tied her up and locked her in a closet. Did she ever make it back home? And what happened to her mom/aunt? Did she get arrested? Asuka knew that staying on the train was the way back to the real world, why didn't she tell the four other people who were with her and haruna? They could've all just stayed on the train instead of getting off at kisaragi Station.
The cgi and effects were pretty bad, honestly. I couldn't take the giant eye monster seriously, and those exploding death scenes looked really goofy.
I still enjoyed the sequel, but I liked the first movie more. It was much more serious and genuinely scarier.
