The writer is just throwing everything at once to save her dying plot. Started with car accident, abusive/toxic parents (dragged their part until the end...we just have two episodes left for godsake), main lead couple breakup that didn’t even last 24 hours, third lead couple that no one asked for, half siblings plot twist which was predictable as well. Now we have soobin stepping down from directing, yijae possibly leaving for abroad? Soobin’s mum who raised him just left? unless the father is holding her hostage again Next you'll see them glorify the father just as how they let sfl's mother off the hook in this episode with a random redemption arc which did noy hit at all because she's still shitty. This is not a romcom at all. I’m just here for hyeri till the end otherwise I wouldn’t ever continue watching this slop.
Came back to say, they went completely off track from the webtoon as expected. shim seunghee was a character i thought they adapted well (I mentioned about it last week) until today, there was so no need to make her look so pathetic. her choices dont make sense given how ajin ruined her life once. Like I said before, this drama is trying to make ajin look anything but a sociopath because all the other characters seem annoying, helpless and dependent. Ofcourse ajin is gonna stand out when the other character's arent on par. I dont know what they're doing with junseo and jaeo either. Overall, these week's episodes are disappointing. Cant really expect them to do better in final episodes.
I agree with you in some points. Specially about Rena, she should cut off when ahjin ruined her career. I don't…
As long as they dont redeem her or give a happy ending. There's a lot to wrap up with Rena, Seunghee, Ms seo, the detective, mun dohyeok, the whole pregnancy subplot with junseo, jaeo going hongkong, junseo's mother. I dont know if they'll be able to capture it properly in just 4 episodes but lets see.
i agree with you. when we finally thought we had a pure evil women protagonist, they had to add these emotional…
I mean they did great for first 3 episodes because of how closely they followed the webtoon, but ep4 onwards they brought in changes which either dont make sense or add nothing to the plot in general, just making people empathise with her instead of hate her. Yoojung had potential to play a very good villainess...now i'm just disappointed because of the writing.
the fact that you are questioning a director like Lee eungbok makes you questionable LOL!!it’s funny u judging…
Personally I dont like his direction style, especially what he did with sweet home...another great webtoon ruined. Either way, im allowed to give my opinion on here, mydramalist is for that. You should get off from this app if u cant handle critcism and personal opinion of one.

If you're gonna do an adaptation, do it properly. And before you lot jump on me by saying vanziun was involved, let me tell you it doesn't matter because the screenwriter failed to capture the essence of a really good webtoon. Even though the casting choice were really good.
As a fan of webtoon, I'm kinda not liking the adaptation much. Especially what they did with ep7/8 or rather the adult arc as a whole. They're making all the other characters so bland and downright stupid to make ajin look good or rather empathised with? Junseo had so much depth and presence in the webtoon, he wasn't as annoying as they've made him out to be in the drama. I still love youngdae and his portrayal though, i just feel his character should've been written like the webtoon more.
As for jae-oh, i just think we dont have much scenes for him and his undying loyalty and devotion to ajin was always confusing to me like the webtoon.
Rena and Seunghee were two characters that really deserved everything ajin did to them. However in the drama, they've given rena more spotlight but her character doesnt hit the same as webtoon because of how she messes with ajin so bluntly despite her being an actress. Seunghee was well adapted though, so no complaints.
Inkang was a fan favourite after ajin when i first read the webtoon, but in the drama I feel they really rushed his arc and added things which dont do justice to his webtoon character. In the drama, they clubbed their breakup scene and him visiting her house scene as one..most likely to avoid the slap scene but i think that was a crucial point to the story...and it explained the extent to which ajin could go to have what she wants. loved inyoup's acting in the drama though, he never disappoints.
Heartless arc made most people hate ajin in the webtoon. But i dont see that happening in the drama since they're justifying her actions by adding random plot like the whole thing with inkang's grandma incident. Now i just dont see it as a villainess drama to be honest.
Watched the preview for next week and i really dont get how they'll show her downfall because she straight up looks traumatised by dohyeok or someone, maybe a nightmare idk...webtoon ajin was intimidated by dohyeok but she made it through even when he caught her lies. Overall disappointed after ep4 cuz they diverted a lot from webtoon. But then again i didnt expected much from lee eungbok or kdramas to do justice to a perfectly written villainess story. Dropping the show now unfortunately.
It's really sad to see some people making unnecessary comparisons here and the drama hasn't even aired yet. I…
Also, idk why some people are arguing over lack of episodes? 16 episodes with each episode being around 1hr 15mins long is a NORM in kdramas. Meanwhile cdramas have over 30+ episodes in general. Both industries have different ways of presenting a show. It's not like they can drag kdramas to 40 episodes like the OG 🤡 they can cut out unnecessary portions and storylines in the korean version which is rather good. And if you really want 40 episodes, just go rewatch go ahead 💁🏻♀️ Again a reminder that a remake cannot ruin an original. If you're so worried, just don't watch the remake and let people who wanna enjoy it..be in peace.
