It took 34 chapters of Webtoon for her kick out form theatre and they finished it in 4 episodes of drama, ssly…
They're cutting EVERYTHING. Important characters and plot points. There's no real growth, either. In the show her Bang Ja is what? about learning how to dance funny? Idk, they just skipped the whole gender roles commentary and her understanding of the role for nothing. And what is her mom doing there just to add pointless drama...? sigh.
i expected a bit better ngl i see the overdone tropes that korea constantly produce for teenage kdramas but make…
I was expecting something different too. I read a few chapters of the webtoon before watching episode 1, and there are changes that didn't work for me.
I don't like how dramatic the overly drama made everything (especially the mom). And I didn't like this... Disney vibe? with the genius main character that has this private training and us here to prove that she's better to a bunch of kids who hate her for no reason (like you said, it felt like a teen drama).
I think I would've preferred if they kept it lighter. And if Jeongnyeong had got there by her own means (girl was determined and resourceful) like in the webtoon. And have things progress slower...
That was a mature and different ending, I get it, but it was very unsatisfying for a closing episode. It didn’t…
I think that's too blame in the translators of the titles. Because this show is called FamilyXMelo (literal translation) so this never was a romance drama, it's a family drama.
It's kind of like a family long period drama and this kind of dramas last for even like 50 episodes so 36 episode…
It is a weekender (long family drama that airs on the weekend). It's just that it seems like they're reducing the air time from 50 to 36 episodes from now on.
I feel like we‘ve come full circle with kdramas. It used to be the female lead of straight romance dramas getting…
I think BLs have hope. But I know I'm not watching anything else from this particular writer. I dropped their previous show after one episode, and now I'm dropping this one after two. Violent and creepy high schoolers is not my thing.
Is it bad that I didn't feel sorry for Ji Woo one bit in the last 2 minutes of episode 8 ?
It isn't. I even felt worse for SJ. He tried everything for a year and JW didn't even check once. All the messages were so damn beautiful even when JW left him Iike that... JW can cry me a river.
