Why did the phone calls turn into marriage counseling? i was ready for a psychotic wife!!
The first few episodes of this show had me extremely interested. I generally like all the set pieces it has, like the enemies to lovers and the mysterious background. But it kind of fell apart about halfway through.Due to a childhood accident, FL became selectively mute.
FL gets kidnapped because she's the wife of the CEO ML and some guy really hates him. She steals the kidnapper's cell phone and starts threatening her husband with it that she wants a divorce. Then she didn't want a divorce. Then he found out she did it, and they talked on the phone, even though she was mute. But she's only occasionally mute and she thinks he doesn't know it's her on the kidnapper's cell phone. xD
I'll probably finish it because right now it's just funny. The male lead is really the soul of this drama (I totally didn't realize he's the one who played Gu dong mae in Mr. Sunshine). This has got to be the most lighthearted role Choi Soo-bin has ever played.
Episode 8- the mystery of ML's past /and what their parents have done has made the plot interesting again. I still can't get over how traumatized FL is that she thinks the situation is ok and his love makes it all better now. Lol.
Overall, I don't think this drama is worth 8.9 points. I think people are dying for a good Korean drama right now because I know I am.

it's just boring. i mean, if you have time for a mindless watch , then go ahead.
Kim Young Dae. i really want to like one of his projects, but most of them bank on the characters telling him "WOW you're so good looking". I gave him a chance in "moon in the day" drama. that one was boring too. the only one i liked from him was "the forbidden marriage".I'm not sure if he's getting cast in the wrong things, but i need to see something better from him.
I actually think the female lead carried this drama. She was just..more entertaining to watch.
the side characters plots are boring. and provide nothing to the storyline.
the ceo of their company gets involved in a scandal with her sister, but she wants to sue him. idk. then her other sister is polyamorous with this older looking dude. I ended up forgetting to even finish this one lmao.

I want this male lead in other dramas. This drama kinda lost its spunk
I love the main male actor, he has that non-standard but hot look. Everyone is swooning over his deep voice lol.The synopsis of this drama is a basically that FL was a youtube content creator who lost her job, ends up moving into the house of the CEO who owns a meat processing company. The CEO is connected to her childhood.
I didn't really see the point of SML in this drama other than that the writers needed some other relationship to take up screen time.
I think the issue with this show is that there's nothing driving the plot for 10 episodes other than her trying to find her childhood friend. (a lot of that screen time is filler) The cat villain gang with the drug dealers is kinda boring and doesn't really further the plot that much.
We are 10 episodes in and I wish FL would have gotten more character development by now. Like, she lost her job several episodes ago & hasn't been job hunting. I guess that the drama is trying to portray the struggles women have of finding a career, but it doesn't feel like she has a sense of urgency with her life... It's another rich CEO drama where he saves the day!
I think this show could have been more stellar if they actually made a decent villain figure, and we get to see our gangster male lead pull off some action like Healer drama. Y'all remember the OG kdrama Healer?
Episode 11: opens with both leads being very cutesy and sort of cringe at the dining table. I don't know. I can't really take them seriously anymore especially given their ages. Like you mean to tell me this guy has never had a girlfriend before lol. Does anyone else finding it hard to keep interested in this drama?
episode 13: why is FL suddenly confused that Seo ji hwan isn't her childhood friend? i thought this was already resolved several episodes ago. this padding feels so random and the pregnancy matter with side leads is resolved. now, i don't really care about this show anymore. oh well!

Men simping for an emotional abusive woman! This wasn't what i signed up for.
Who doesn't love a strong female lead? But when it borders on domineering with no respect for her husband Pei, it upsets me.The synopsis of this drama makes you think they will try to love each other again with their second chance at life. I am 20+ episodes into this and exhausted. I had SML syndrome at first, but i feel like that plot line is going nowhere because she's already married in this second life again.
There was a scene in the carriage where Pei blew up at her because she couldn't see that he loved her from the beginning. They made up, and then the next episodes they bicker at each other again. Another episode Princess thinks he knows her plan in the butterfly gorge, but he was just planning a date with flowers everywhere. Meanwhile she planned a trap and a scuffle with some enemies. His instrument gets destroyed, he gets stabbed and is heartbroken, and she's just standing there like ":O".
Most of the plot has been political plotting & there isn't enough romance to balance it out. Crown prince's woman left him for the border, and Shangguang gambling with su's brother is the only relationship worth the show.
There is just so much ANGST.
Sometimes.. reading a trash book or fanfiction is good. However, trying to realistically portray this relationship on screen makes no sense.
Maybe the book is meant to convey ML differently?. In the drama, ML says he likes a woman who bullies him. So maybe he has some kinda kink? IT'S SO PAINFUL TO WATCH. Princess is a complex character but has not developed any further in 25+ episodes.

I loved this drama(more of a tragedy?). Also, this may be one of Jeremy's best
A mountain girl gets caught up in two plotting Lord's schemes. Neither lead seems completely good for her lol.So, the male lead wants revenge for his father who was unjustly murdered by a previous general. He taunts FL often because she interrupted his undercover activities. She tries to kill him 10 episodes in, which makes great bonding time. XD
I'm honestly more interested in the overall plot of this drama. Not too much the romance.
Now for the 2nd male lead - he wants to do what his father could not(become prime minister). His dad died too early. and the king has inferiority views towards his Pei clan. However the 2nd male lead's mother had a thing with the king in the past, so she has some leverage over the king's emotions.
Side notes- I thought jeremy was retiring but i still love him in this one! To be honest, only brother Cui the physician is truly nice to her! If you're looking for healthy romance it won't be here lol.

A quick one shot. about 4 hours long
It's a decent miniseries based on a novel. I haven't read this novel. If writers weren't going so fast with the plot, it would have gotten an 8 from me. There's good chemistry.Synopsis is pretty similar to My Journey to You Drama. Strong FL is an assassin for hire who ends up falling in love with one of her targets who is the Empress's brother. He plays a fool but really is plotting behind the scenes. I like it so far. there are a few spicy kiss scenes.

Excellent drama. I don't know why i put it off so long.
This is my favorite work Zhang Ling He has starred in. I didn't care for the plots in "Princess royal" and "My journey to you". But story of Kunning palace is awesome. In fact, all the actors were awesome in this drama. The plot is nothing we haven't seen before, but what makes it riveting is the character's and seeing their internal frustrations.
And omg, was i blessed with so many hot kissing scenes towards the end lol.
I only took off .5 rating because the xue family plot was getting annoying at the end. I think they could've made it like 2-4 episodes shorter between dragging on the main enemy and female lead's indecisiveness.

IT WAS ACTUALLY GREAT and i typically don't like reborn into book "isekai" dramas
Definitely do not pass this one up! The ending managed to be wholesome, even though everyone wished for more.Story: FL is a mega fan of the author who wrote this fictional book Love game in eastern fantasy. She dreams of it one night and experiences an epic adventure as the main character of the book.
To be honest, i watched the first few episodes and thought it would be really cringe. But i kept going. And i'm so glad i did.
At the end, i was sure they would botch it up. How could they tie up the historical love story with real life ? Basically, you will find out the reason the author wrote the book this way and why FL dreamt of it. As well as why Male lead felt like he never had a mother.
In summary, the soundtrack was great, special effects were high quality, acting was great on all parts, and the story had lots of good themes.

I don't know where this drama was going.
The first few episodes of “the story of Pearl girl” were legitimate and well-directed, but after that it was completely lackluster. Drama has its strengths and weaknesses, but there are few to no hooks to keep viewers on their toes. Pros include the concept of escaping from slavery and discovering a new life, which is a good story, great costumes, actors' performances, makeup techniques, and screen appeal due to the dark color palette. On the other hand, the drawbacks are that the first storyline drags for about 10 episodes, there is no second male protagonist syndrome, and there are no supporting characters. In addition, the male protagonist is an unlikable character in the beginning, (he's rude to female lead). Yet, he knows a great deal about her family and the girl herself; but falls for her head over heels later. The sudden development of his feelings is felt to be of C-grade drama logic. Given these factors, my evaluation suggests that other viewers like me may stop watching the drama halfway through.(more specific ranting cons below)
CONS: -initial story dragged from 1-9. Episode 10 is where they finally sailed to a new land. 11 is where FL questions her dad's identity.
-no 2nd male lead syndrome in this one. He is just there to be a connection to the prince
-the Cui family's daughter/and Cui people plot felt like it went on too long
-11 episodes in and you haven't met the king/princes, or any big players yet.
-The support characters not interesting, or don't even exist. Who is there besides the little boy and noble woman?
I feel like the most EGREGIOUS thing is that Male lead was a dick for most of the beginning, but then he somehow knows all her family history, and then falls for her? Like the way their relationship developed is bad c-drama logic on display.
This drama could honestly finish on episode 17 when they kissed in the town. She's traveling with his trading caravan, and he fell for her. I forgot to watch it for several days, so at this point I've dropped it.

It's like a long music video with no substance
I personally am getting a bit bored of this drama. I have fast forwarded a lot.The drama gives the viewers the goal early on, to complete the goddess's token and save the wilderness, also killing ML in the end because he wants to "atone" for his sins.
I love Neo's acting in this one a lot more than Back from the brink. From the start, we know that male lead wants to die because he can't control his demonic powers and kills people. The self-loathing theme is on almost every episode. Also, the kid doesn't add much to the story. I thought his screams were funny at first, but i skip most of the scenes with him. The writer could have given him a more impactful role besides being the screaming sidekick.
I just don't like the direction they took with this drama. It could've been amazing, but it turned into a depressive music video
