I won't talk about the collective meltdown lol, but to your first comment about chemistry.
For me, the two leads have an angsty, flirty, unsaid/almost forbidden tension that is hard to peel my eyes from the screen. The way Chen Yi (aka SWL's) adams apple bobs up and down every time Miao Jing flirts and their eye contact, has me FANGIRLING.
I think because they're in the 'confused situationship' atm, it's not giving you the 1000% chemistry you're looking for. I don't know about others, but ep 17 DID that for me. And then some. I think I may have rewatched that fight + kiss as many times as the POJ bath scene LOL.

Can't wait for all their cute/steamy scenes when they're officially OFFICIAL and kicking butt behind the scenes too. lol

Bo was really an excuse for Chen Yi to give the Billard hall so that he could move to Haoyun. He gave MJ a lame excuse but it’s 1 to protect her, and 2 to uncover the truth as he is the wolf for the cops.

It's a shame because ep 16 and 17 is where they start opening up and their relationship unravels. It's definitely worth holding on a few more eps, I promise you!

Episode 17 was SOOOOOO good. The angst, PTSD, the tension, them fighting for each other. Chen Yi giving into Miao Jing's dare and they both melted like putty.

And in true form, the awkwardness post kiss xD

Just 'clarifying' in case of any misunderstandings. But JingJing purposely cut him off the second time he was trying to clarify too. DEAD. lol

My hunch is that since we’re almost at the half- way point, they’re going to give into their suppressed feelings and get back together shortly. Especially since his back hug changed the dynamic more than a “random lapse whilst unwell”.
But as their love transpires, layers of secrets and untold truths come to light. And Mr Zhang etc try to use Miao Jing as bait for Chen Yi to act. The bone to the wild dog.

Wen Jie is starting to clue on to their not-so-platonic-siblingship to it being more of a romantic relationship. Kang An, who is usually more of a clueless male is catching on too. ahha.
It's so obvious when Chen Yi and Miao Jing are so sweet together! Even Linda can sense it...
