They do not even try to make it even believable. I have seen C-drama where FL deserved such treatment, but here storytelling is beyond hopeless.

I picked and dropped it multiple times. How can a crown prince be such a mega simp? The story is not moving forward after ep. 16 or so. I am at ep. 22. maybe will pick it up later. Can anyone suggest a similar premise with better execution? I very much liked Double, kind of a similar plot.

I am at the 8th episode, till now, it feels mid. "The Double" covers similar story, but it was too engaging from the start. FL here has plot armour from the beginning, no struggle, just straight up emperor type character. ML falls for her for no reason in such a short time. one-sided advantage to both leads, the villains just keep falling to their feet. doesn't make much sense tbh.

It's a good watch. not very good, not very bad imo.

Chinese trope of making MLs losers in love is so pathetic. That's why I like Lighter and Princess a lot, something for a change.

If you don't understand what gaslighting is, watch this drama. The story is complete trash, can't even blame the characters.

Don't like the FL in any of her shows till now. Maybe this will be better since they are remaking a masterpiece

I watched this after season 1. Man, this is such a letdown. I felt that the writer has no story tell. This is seriously so boring. Season 1 was a masterpiece, this is a downgrade after season 1.

I appreciate the show, but the fabricated city was 100 times better than this. The revenge doesn't seem fulfilling, and unnecessary violence and killing don't make a good show.

Nope, it keeps getting bad. But it depends on individual choice. Maybe you will like it.
