This drama is set in modern times. The PM would likely not have his image affected to the point of ruining a campaign by a divorce. Her interest are in boosting her social status, being the ex wife of a PM and ho served for on e or two terms will not gain her the social status she wants but being connected to the prince will. I’m not sure what your background is but this is very obvious social politics.

PM position has terms so he won’t hold power for indefinitely unlike the GP who is born royalty and holds his title for life. If she marries PM her social benefits only last as long as his position

I just finished the novel. If they stay true this will be such a great drama but absolutely heartbreaking. I hope the script and acting do justice to the original work. Such a great story
