I agree with that part.. but I feel like all of his friend advice was just highlighting all the negatives about Shun.. we can't sit back and ignore that he didn't have a reason for that.
Ikuo is the villain y'all wanted SHUN to be... secretly acting like he cares about your relationship and is only doing it because he is your friend but he is really praying for your downfall. Ikuo at the end of the episode proves nothing he did prior was genuine
I know a lot of ppl didn't understand Shun's personality but I can relate to him so much.. the anxiety and the walls he has built up is so relatable to so many ppl who have dealt with trauma and abandonment issues.
I hope more countries do real shows like this again with real people in the community.. this was so needed in these times and I hope we get more seasons in the future.
I recommend all BL fans to watch 'The Boyfriend'' on Netflix.. it is so good. Shun is such a multilayered person. A lot of ppl were saying he was a villain b4 I watched it. Shun is so relatable to me and I understand him completely and the walls he has up based on his childhood which was not easy. I'm rooting for them and their happiness so much.

agreed with your opinion about Thai BL and I feel the same... shows from Japan at least feel fresh and a bit refreshing.. probably because the shows aren't oversaturated in the market.. but don't tell thai bl fans that.. according to them Thai BL is still peaking lol
