no actually I came to that conclusion based on kdrama culture we’ve watched this happen time and time again

sad cause this drama is
mediocre and boring but will still get Hugh ratings because the actors are popular and it’s on Netflix

in my OG comment I said I was “getting a whiff” and “I hope I’m wrong”

nowhere did I say I started watching the drama for that aspect. it’s just something I noticed while watching the drama and it ticked me off. I knew I wasn’t going into it for romance the second I saw the trailer and read the description.
once again, that doesn’t make it any less annoying

I obviously know it’s not a romance drama. that doesn’t make it any less annoying. and it DOES matter cause it’s still an aspect of the drama that I’m watching.

that’s like me saying it doesn’t matter who dies in a romance drama because it’s not a thriller. like I still care about it even if it’s a different genre.

not even half way into episode 2 and I’m already getting a whiff of this

that the girl who had been visiting the ML for ELEVEN YEARS while he was in prison and basically helping him not go insane while he was getting mercilessly beat up with no contact from the outside world, won’t end up with him in the end.
But rather it seems that the girl who works at the restaurant with the MLs mum is going to end up with him.

I really hope I’m wrong because this genuingly just PISSED me off beyond belief. if I was the OG girl I would be soooo fucking mad if some girl just swoops in and he falls in love with her while seeing me as just a friend after all the effort I put in.

because kdramas love doing this. the person who had been there from the start never ends up as the final pick. just so irritating and aggravating but again, I hope I’m wrong. Guess we’ll find out soon

okay so I watched the first episode and I can honestly say

1. the rating is criminally low
2. I’m very much intrigued
3. definitely going to continue the drama
4. I’m struggling to enjoy most of the airing dramas right now so I’m extremely glad I enjoyed this.
5. This kind of drama isn’t usually my favourite genre so the fact that I’m enjoying it should tell you a lot

honestly don’t know how I feel after seeing episode 2’s ending. I was kind of annoyed but I’m more motivated to continue after reading the comments.
