7 is not good for mdl standards. like at the end of the day it’s a high quality drama (in terms of cinematography).…
you said if it’s visually pleasing then it automatically gets a 3 or 4. So let’s start with that. I think this drama is one of the not so good ones I’ve watched but I definitely don’t think it’s “terrible in every other aspect”.
There is definitely quite a few things I loved about it. So even if we’re going by your logic, a 7 would still be a good rating for this drama.
Personally - I loved the second fl acting. - I started off really loving the theme and plot of the drama, I was just dissatisfied with the “consequences” the rich kids experienced.
One thing you should know about mdl raters: most tend to leave critique comments only, and don’t bother with positive ones. Which is why you think everyone things it’s terrible but it still got a 7. I’m guessing most people are in the same predicament as me. 90% of what makes this drama “bad” is the dissatisfaction of consequences. So yes, this drama still deserves a 7. And saying it’s “terrible in every other aspect” is a stretch. That’s not the case with most dramas. They wouldn’t get released on a big platform like Netflix if that was the case

a burger is completely different from tv ratings. Not just on Mdl, this happens on almost every rating site or channel. just accept it. Because when rating a TV show, people take weather or not it’s visually pleasing into account. Why? Because it’s TV. it’s not food, you watch it with your eyes. so whether you like it or not, the rating system for TV shows is always going to be completely different from the rating system for other things. You might as well just accept it cause that’s how it is. But for future reference, if you want a good drama, start from rated 8 and above. Hope that helps!
why do people give shows a 7/10 and trash it in their review? it makes no sense you gave it a 7 ( Good) . learned…
7 is not good for mdl standards. like at the end of the day it’s a high quality drama (in terms of cinematography). It has a good theme and idea but they flopped with the plot and acting. this kind of drama wouldn’t get below a 5. and that’s an unbiased rating. for this drama you should be rating it from a 5-10. so yes a 7 is very low. On mdl from 8-10 means it’s good. yes there is a HUGE difference between a 7 and an 8 rating. 7 is just a default rating let’s be honest
plus one pet peeve I have is that damn hairstyle that covers his left eye. it’s not even believable for his character. like you mean to tell me this RICH AS HIGH SCHOOL BOY with 24/7 assistants and stylists didn’t think to change his hairstyle ONCE? like bffr that’s not believable at all.
like I’m now confused did he have an eyebrow injury or some shit? like why were they trying so hard to cover it ijbollll
Jung jae I and Ri an’s relationship is just not believable at all. like they are just so dumb.
why as 17 year olds were you having sex knowing what’s at stake if an accident happens. but dumb asf. like you’re not starving. you’re not desperate. y’all can at least wait till you graduate. idc what y’all say nothing will convince me that shit is normal. acting like starving humans like bro just focus on your education first.
the way they tried so hard to make king jae I the victim and it just flopped. I’m not buying the shit that you sell. why are you going so hard to defend a man who invites bullying, treats scholarship students like trash, abuses his power, uses violence, sells/buys drugs. like babes get better taste this is so embarrassing
Jeon Sarang I wasn’t going to watch this drama but I got convinced to watch it because of your hate comment💀 after seeing your comment that frankly speaking is not funny (it’s hilarious) now I question your taste so I will watch this too
