Idol dramas never get a chance to win acting awards from major China acting academy awards for TV and Movies such as Golden Rooster award, Magnolia award, Golden Eagle award and so on. You don't get any recognition except popularity.
As for JOL, I will not recommend Xiao Zhan fans to watch it. JOL use Xiao Zhan name to promote their drama but his actual scene in the drama did not start until the last few episodes. They make him a villain. We all got cheated.

Did you even watch this drama ? If you watch Xianxia drama, this type of hairstyle is the norm. I like Xiao Zhan hairstyle here. His hairstyle is better in TLP than DC and JOL.

Xiao Zhan The Youth Memories is not an idol drama. Zhao Lusi already said in an interview. She prefer to play a certain roles only so she can stay within her comfort zone. She is not ready to transition into non idol drama. For Xiao Zhan, he has already move on. After The Youth Memories, he will select drama that are more complex.
I am not a big fan of XZ but honestly the rating is not justifying ,it should be more higher than Douluo Continent…
What is more shocking than this drama is only 0.1 higher than Oh my emperor. Just comparing the CGI, the Costume design, Cinematography and Acting of all the actors/actresses, this drama is way better. What is wrong with MDL ? The people behind MDL have decided this drama is only an 8.0 before even the drama started.
