Exactly my thoughts! I love romantic dramas. it always takes me months to find a good drama with a deep romance. haven't read the novel just yet, but the romance shown is so beautiful and hearty that it makes you fall in love with the characters.
I think romance fans would adore and appreciate this, yet many are disheartened by the rating and the negative comments they see on various platforms. whether we like it or not, ratings do matter, however, this drama is doing well in China. It's number 1 in some platforms already.

Ok so if you like rom-coms mostly, this is melodramatic romance. it doesn't have any romcom elements :)
And it's more focused on real life events.

If by slow you mean them getting back together, yes it does get faster. But overall, if you love romance stick to it. If not, it’s apparently not to your liking

Based on the comments i see here, many say it's slow( OK slow, then you don't drop it and stay? Many are like that).
some say the SWAT scenes are too much. they always find something to play with.
So, just rate each episode yourself. It will come up eventually, as it went to 8/10 on Friday and now it's 8.2.

Wish it was shorter. Can't really stand long dramas. it takes ages to finish them lol

The story obviously has a happy ending( unless they want to change it) and that is not that intriguing to some teenagers on this website
However, this drama is so popular in China. Don't mind the rating here
