I'm a drama and movieholic who'll happily binge anything with subtitles. Romance is optional. I can be just as invested in family bonds, sisterhood, bromance, and stories that give you all the warm-and-fuzzy feelings.
I also have a soft spot for historical costume dramas, whether set in ancient dynasties or the Republican era. My ideal protagonists are smart, resourceful, and ten steps ahead of everyone else, wrapped in refreshing plots that keep me guessing. It doesn't matter whether they're wrapped in angst, revenge, palace intrigue, or political scheming, as long as the storytelling is sharp and they're well executed.
My only deal-breakers? Aliens, monsters, xiaxia, and plots that are too unreal or heavily reliant on CGI and AI effects. Too much visual spectacle often takes me out of the story. I prefer narratives grounded in human emotions and wit. Give me compelling characters, emotional depth, and heartfelt moments, and I'm hooked.
