From what I understand, the grand preceptor used the jade hairpin to made a double of SY, which was done to "register" his death and make it somewhat believable. ZY thought he had died and made a sacrificial rite for him.. then somehow the flower that SY initially cast the revitalization spell on interacted with her powers, forming a so mark on her forehead.
Can someone explain how the whole curse thing works or how ZY is SYs impending doom?
Antis don't care about the content, they simply rate it 1. Then some fans rate the whole thing early to compensate…
lord these antis can’t give him a break.. I honestly think it’s an alright drama so far. It may fall short on worldbuilding, but the production of the drama itself and the acting is executed quite well. I guess we just have to see how this plays out :/
So far, the chemistry between ZY and NH is.. it’s making me feel butterflies, especially in that outro scene where they’re looking into each others eyes.. like, that got me having ten heart palpitations (see what I did there?)
CGI really dwindled after the initial fight scene between NH and the other woman.. hope it will pick back up in later episodes.
Just started watching, now on ep 3. But I’m heavily suspicious of Jang Ji Wan.. it seems like the writers are trying to spin a narrative about him, making him seem an incompetent and oblivious police officer.
I’m placing my bet of 0.01 cent he’s the culprit. Apparently the kid back in the institution from the first episode can manipulate electricity or something. During the scene at the convenience store when the lights started to flicker, NGM, JJW, and that other dude were there. It’s not NGM, but he’s definitely one of the children from the institution back then or is at least related to it.
Of course, the hooded guy could also be a strong possibility, but that would be way too predictable if the culprit was already revealed at episode 2..
Anyways, if it turns out he’s really the culprit, that’ll be a great plot twist!
I really wanted to like this drama.. I really did. I ended up dropping it at episode 8 because of the slow pacing, which made me sleepy every episode.. going through the episodes was a felt more like a chore than anything else :/
Other than the plot, cinematography, soundtrack, and acting were great. The drama did a great job at maintaining a consistent mysterious / noir-like vibe throughout.
I’ll probably just stay away from slow burn thrillers for now.
I’m obsessed with the pacing of this drama sm! The relationship development between the two leads are natural compared to most other BL’s, who get together by like the 2nd episode.. 🫶🏻

I anticipated a death of a character would happen sooner or later.. but when it finally did, it just had to be my favorite character.
Man Man, rest in peace.
Drop some candles for our precious Man Man down below 🕯️
Also, that’s xianxia cdrama logic at its finest lol.
Nonetheless, I agree— He’s still a very poopy dad (as you said lmao).
