For me it still sort of makes sense. She does like medicine and that she can help people. But she's ready to give it up or at least not pursue it as an imperial dr. It was her friend who insisted she take the apprenticeship. It was her friend who's always pushing her to succeed. Losing him, i think, she lost her motivation as well. I also think she feels very guilty that her friend killed people for her. I think she didnt waste the opportunity the friend gave her, she did solve the epidemic. That's why she was desperate to complete her notes after his death. Pei yi felt that and left the room for her. You can see afterwards, that she was very tired.
He must not have felt human since he accepted being the 'mad tyrant king' Spending time with Wanyin was really a blessing for him.
Also young'er's happy face when eating hot pot again. Cute. >.< We would also need to commend the dowager on her grunts.
He needs a lot of hugs.
I cant help but imagine when he comes back to his orig timeline. A middle schooler with several yrs of abuse. I can't imagine how he would get therapy. >.<
