Tianhe wants to be Lingsha's bag, she wants to be his sword and my man Ziying wants to be the sword's scabbard! i know he said he wanted to be HIS sword's scabbard but i think at that moment he was implying if Lingsha was a sword then he'd want to be the sword's scabbard so he could be with her forever! or maybe it's just my imagination gone wild 😜

I don't see how they could write it any different way through... Letting him die was actually showing him mercy. He didnt want to live as someone's shadow and his death helped his one and only friend a great deal. He knew it and he chose it himself. I know some of us wanted him around until the end, but imagine you yourself walking around without a heartbeat knowing you are just a lifeless man, would you want that? I chose to think he's happier now being in Lingsha's memories... :)
