Xia Liuyi’s aura as a gangster leader is unparalleled. I loved how they showed him actively killing people without toning it down. I am so in love with the contrast between the soft side he shows only to Chu San and the fierce side he shows to the outside world, he was pretty scary in the last episode. He is so badass in those scenes.

Chinese bls really feel like drugs lmao so true this is the third time I've been so heavily obsessed with a show after Revenged Love and To My Shore.

Which other Chinese bls were supposed to have a season 2 but didn't get any?

This entire kidnapped arc was so interesting in the novel, I wish they showed Xie Jiahua saving him, I loved their first interaction and then Luiyi having that passionate kiss with him at the hospital instead. Also, this was probably the first time Chu San showed that as much as he looks like it he's never gonna be the damsel in distress, his intelligence always makes him dig out a way for himself from whatever danger he gets in.

I honestly could never get into Thai bls. Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and especially Chinese bls just hit different. This show was so well done. Adding it to my list of favorite C-BLs along with Revenged Love, To My Shore and Kill To Love.

I love the fact that as much as he looks like it, Chu San is never the damsel in distress. So damn fit to be the fierce gangster's lover.

He's a phenomenal actor, I was speechless

I think they're gonna do 48 hours because they left out the part from the novel where the police arrested Xia Luiyi from He Chu San's apartment, this is when he was held for 48 hours. There's a separate prison arc where he meets Boss Sha and others when he went for 3 months. And yes 17 years is crazy I sobbed and felt depressed for days when I read that part, it's just too cruel :(

They get married and grow old together.

THE KISS WAS PHENOMENAL

Going to jail for 17 years happens towards the end of the novel, this one will be just for 48 hours or just a short duration, there was no evidence against him, Cui Dong Dong had already prepared everything.

Just watched the finale, I SOBBED HARD seeing Xia Luiyi, I felt everything he felt at that moment. That kiss was phenomenal, the best kiss I've ever seen in a bl. The emotions hit deep in my heart. I'll religiously wait for season 2. Phenomenal show. 10/10. Strongly recommended.

His face card is lethal, he's too fine

I started with Korean bls, then dived into Japanese bls and now finally Chinese bls (my favorite) but never could get into Thai bls, sorry they seem too cringe to me, I could only watch Top Form and loved it. Also the heterosexual stories are so on point, there's always some trace of misogyny and patriarchy in it, watching queer love stories always shows love in its purest form between two individuals, two human beings and that's so beautiful.

Same here, I felt so empty after Revenged Love ended in August, and I felt that void all the way until To My Show started airing in November. Then, after To My Show ended in January, I felt empty again, and the void lasted until Sammy's Children’s Day started airing in March. And now, I’m going to feel that same emptiness again for the third time :(

So true, Chu San kept surprising me more and more as the novel progressed, he's so interesting, badass, charismatic and unpredictable.

It was so unexpected for them to end up being besties lmao, that was a twist
