The director showed us her past through his eyes. If you didn’t continue, you missed out on a satisfying wrap up at the end. There was even a surprise. Each episode ends with Sang Yan’s pov but this one was kept from us. The final episode shows his pov from ep 1.

Yes. I felt the director wanted Sang Yan to look for her in her past places and through flashbacks, showed us what she went through. I thought I was going to be so mad if she left him, but when I saw the director's purpose, I let it go. He still gave us the hotel scene that was in the book. It just changed places.
