Drama adaptations won't and will never be a hundred percent exact copy of the novel, there will always be changes…
And that is okay too. The good thing is that it was only two episodes and it switched right back to the hotel scene. I don't look at is as that she left him again. I see it as the creative way in which the director showed us Yifan's past through SangYan's eyes. We as the viewers went on that journey of realization with Sang Yan. It built empathy. It helped bring the drama to the point where most of Yi Fan's life before she left for college was revealed. The final revelation came when Yi Fan opened up to Sang Yan and told him herself.
TFF is my most favorite novel among all the countless of others I had read before, I love Sangyan and Wen Yifan's…
As soon as I saw it I knew the director's purpose of having YiFan leave. And I didn't feel Sang Yan was going through the same pain that he experiences when she left back then. This time was different. Now he knew her reasons. And all he wanted to do was to find her and hold her.
Regarding this part: "An original and emotional proposal scene scene. It was beautiful!"I cannot express how much…
Thank you so much. I know some feel TFF is dark because of YiFan's traumatic life in her youth, but I didn't feel that way. If it was that dark, some of us would not keep coming back.

I recently saw an interview with the director where he said the proposal scene was not scripted or some of it was from BJT and Ruonan. I posted the director's interview in discussions at the top of the forum. It was more an emotional proposal than a scripted one.
Truly this drama has so much depth to it and has woven intricate details seamlessly that even through subtle acts…
And this is why I described TFF as a beautiful work of art...a masterpiece. It was beautiful to see all the pieces come together. If people watched this paying close attention to the details they would have rated it high. Anyone who rates this as a 1 is either deliberately downrating the drama or is totally clueless.

Well said! I watched the HK episode after I read all the comments of outrage and I dreaded seeing SY in pain. But what I saw was Sang Yan seeing YiFan's life as he visited all the places she had been and I didn't feel mad at YiFan. I saw through his eyes how awful it was for YiFan. Her mother left her to live in what looks like a closet. I don't know how she managed to study under those condition of living in fear. It was beautifully done. I wish it had been two months and not six months but I guess that is drama.
So I read the web novel and I can understand why many of the fans of the novel disliked the drama. The Hong Kong…
I addressed the HK storyline in my review. When I heard that YiFan had left again, I thought I was going to be so mad when I watched the episode but then I saw it from the director's angle and I can understand why it was done that way. As for the intern, I didn't sense anything evil in him and there was a purpose to his presence. The episode where he was most annoying was quite revealing when YiFan said about Sang Yan, "He is the exception..." I am sure the grandpa's storyline had a purpose but I cannot tell you as I chose to skip it for now. The theme of the grandpa story might correlate with the main story. I am happy with the drama adaptation. I read the novel while watching and the rest after I finished the drama. I think there was enough of the leads, especially the scenes in their apartment, that I was satisfied at the end.

Every minuscule expression on Sang Yan's face said 1000 words. The way he paused and the way he looked at YiFan went straight to the heart. And the director was particular about every minute detail that if you don't pay attention you might miss it. Everything in TFF came together so beautifully that by the end of the drama I got that feeling that the last piece of the puzzle was in place.
There is a sense that they know each other so well. There are many factors that made this chemistry impactful.…
I loved the scenes in that apartment! I loved that it focused on their relationship. This is why I feel what some call "dark" was an underlying aspect of TFF. It was the hope and the love that went into discovering each other again was at the forefront.
this drama showed me that cdramas also have potential to envoke such strong emotions.
TFF certainly does! Many in here cannot even move on. However, I mostly watch cdramas and there are some others that have great chemistry with deep emotions.
