Looks like viewers will sympathize more with Luke than Flora post break up if they retain the novel break sequence. But remember she was already at the breaking point before the voting and Luke didn’t give her a heads up about the competition. I think they will have a major fall out after the SML storyline (remember how she says you must be happy now), so communication will already be in shambles given Luke will be hurt with that.

The break up is perfectly done in the novel. Power imbalance, jealousy, secrecy and unwillingness to explain/seek clarification will be the perfect recipe for disaster. And Luan Nian will get a very good taste of his own medicine wrt sharp tongue!

Don’t think she met them like that. They keep popping up and meeting her after Luke sends clients her way once they break up for good.
