Actually he tried in his own way but the ugly, disgusting remark just threw him off! He never learnt to confide in her and same goes for her. For perspective, in the book he doesn’t hug her to comfort but here he does. Also, they added the SZ angle here where he started with that remark and that possibly played a role in Flora’s spiral. They were perhaps trying to show that after all he didn’t change that much when it came to trusting her! Someone with a basic EQ wouldn’t have brought that up in such a situation.

That’s the problem with 24 episodes! The book does a very good job though…not sure if Luke got a chance to explain the circumstances here around her promotion but in the book Flora knows she accused him wrongly. Still she didn’t want him back. All she wanted was a person who spoke kindly! He does mend his ways where he lets go of his pride with her and communicates openly.

Absolutely! He wanted her to confide in him about the poaching, harassment and now the promotion. And she has never tried to rely on him for anything. I like that a lot about our FL. I think it is a brilliant drama that shows why professional and personal interests should never be mixed. Even if Luke wasn’t rude, still there would be so much dilemma with this lopsided power dynamics.

Just trying to understand…when did she intentionally hurt Luke? The only major thing in the drama is hugging her ex but Luke had already hugged his female friend. Other than that they toned down the dating fiasco as in the novel she had actually participated. Here she was just helping out superficially and she explained. So, what else did she do to hurt him or anger him knowingly. Luke on the other hand does hurt deliberately.
Is there a review/censor board that decides to cut down drama episodes? if so, what is the basis for that? There must be modern dramas that have more episodes, so why impose this episode count/scene cut? Just want to understand the rationale since the shooting was already done.

I think she was right in not telling him! He has the capacity to blame her for everything like he did then…’are you sure he is not harassing you as your are timid and an easy target’. Again, literally he might be right as he has when he said ‘cheap and obedient’. But unfortunately for a boyfriend, these words are excruciatingly deamening! Wasn’t he hugging his female friend last episode? Why this double standard? She knew about the relationship and still requested. Flora is not secure in this relationship and doesn’t want others to know that she is sleeping with her boss I suppose. But she did want to have an open relationship at the end. In the book, it actually happened a bit differently. If I remember correctly, they were already broken up before the ex showed up. So, it may look like she is overstepping boundaries with an ex.
