The Republican Era drama is not my cup of tea, but Chen Xing Xu caught my attention. He looked so good in the military uniform, as all the supporting male characters. The story is well-paced. The male and female lead are both intelligent and strategic. They were made for each other. I enjoyed watching the male lead scheme to get his way, in a good way, of course. He appears to be unpleasant, but it's just a facade. The female lead is an intelligent businesswoman who knows what she wants, whether in business or love. She refuses to let the male lead her on and stands up for herself. All the supporting cast did well in their roles. Overall, I'm glad I stumbled on this and gave it a shot!
