China has a ban on time travel themes, so it had to be transmigration to sell to that market, based on the Daoist…
China is connected because Korea wants to get their shows aired in China, so they often adhere to known censorship limitations from China, and a top one is no time travel: even though it's a very common plot. The time travel must be explained in another way, like a coma (Mr Queen). in this show, although the book by all appearances traveled her back in time, when she got there, she was surrounded by butterflies: this is what you see in every Chinese drama as well.
Do you have any recommendations? im finding it hard to find good ones im still kinda new to this
check out r/kdrama. i really liked my demon, King of the Land, Cafe MinamdangAlchemy of Souls is a MASTERPIECE. Do you like fantasy inspired ones? I would recommend checking out cdramas or Chinese dramas: everyone looks like a fairy that wandered out of heaven, and the preduction value is off the charts. after the show hole from Alchemy of Souls I watched Love Between Fairy and Devil on Netflix, and there's never a shortage of stunning cdramas dropping like flies.
Absolutely awful. The story is cliche, but the acting is abominable. Neither lead can carry their role.
It also makes no sense that the FL can doll up to the nines (something geeks just do not know how to do), but this is considered her "posing as someone else," and she spends the rest of the drama plain-faced wearing outfits that should be burned after age 12, which is boring and nonsensical.
She's bad to look at, and he's ONLY good to look at, (can't act at all in this drama, is "executive" cosplaying in dad's clothes), and the drama has absolutely nothing else to recommend it. Terrible pair and boring script.
THERE'S SO MANY BETTER DRAMAS OUT THERE. This is only a "classic" for complete and utter noobs, who don't know any better, and are ignoring their sense of taste, if they have it.
This is so on the spot lol. But this drama has ended my kdrama drought so I don’t mind if they end it that way.…
check out A Dream Within a Dream. it's a cdrama, but since the transmigration trope comes from China, who better to complain about it, and protest by giving us the best show and ending ever?
Learned my lesson from that shitty mr queen's ending. although I am interested in this won't decide to start it…
China has a ban on time travel themes, so it had to be transmigration to sell to that market, based on the Daoist concept of Zhuangzi's butterfly (he sleeps and dreams he is a butterfly - when he wakes he wonders if he is the butterfly dreaming he is a man or a man dreaming he is a burly). This is why she woke up with butterflies around her. The only time I have ever seen this get a good ending is the fantastic A Dream Within a Dream, a protest satire that finally gives us an ending we all deserve.
I'm waiting for this just saw our generation feel awkwardly odd in 1-2 dropped it only watched for her I don't…
really liking our generation. its more arty than most shows, and beautiful to watch. zhang linghe is really intelligent so they act well together. not hyped on this one.
i haven't noticed that Song Wei Long can actually act, so trying to act opposite a skilled actress like Zhao Jin Mai seems like an odd pairing to me. We shall see.
