Rewatching.
Oh, how I wish they would release the unreleased episodes.

Now that I've gotten some sleep, I must say this was an excellent drama. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions. I hated them one moment and loved them in another moment. This drama has spoiled me for other dramas, and I don't know where to go from here. There is SO much to say, but I am satisfied with how they ended this story. His taking her to the museum he created for her and explaining a few of the photos enlightened me to some of his actions. Poor man didn't know how to express his feelings. She briefly realized her insecurity in the early relationship, but I wish she had spoken the realization to him. Overall, this was a great watch, and I will watch it again. The whole cast was great. Applause to them all. The ML and FL will forever be in my museum of all-time great couples---flawed and all.

I saw in a video that Flora didn't get the promotion and thought it was Luke who downgraded her, only to find out later that he rated her the highest. If that video was true and not making assumptions based on the novel, I wonder if that spurs the breakup...Because they still need communication work. This episode was sweet, and she actually called him her boyfriend. I wonder what could possibly happen to break them apart. Anyway, I am glad that the breakup is happening on the tail end of the show, because that means--I hope---that it will not be prolonged. I hope for two episodes focused on the breakup and two episodes focused on reuniting with learned lessons:) At this point, I will wait for the express because this show has exhausted me to no end!:). And I will probably watch it again when it is done. :)

Thanks for the clip from his point of view. I hope there is one where she owns up to her flaws and bad decisions also. Plus, I don't think it's a matter of wrong/right.

Three thoughts.
One: Luke asked an important question, "Why didn't she tell him?" She seems to be close and open with others, but hold him at bay. He has asked twice, "Do you consider me your boyfriend?" Although, I am glad that he eventually reached out to her to take ownership of his response to being left out of the loop, I see her inability to lean on him as a partner creating a riff and insecurity in the relationship. I get the feeling that he doesn't feel important to her. She went to him for comfort, and when he asked, "what's wrong?" she still didn't confide. I wish the writers had explored this more, because for valid reasons, some women will not confide. Explore her pain, as well as his hurt. Her pain CANNOT be discounted, nor can his hurt.
Also, this isn't the first time she kept something from him (the apartment incident).

Two: The FL did an outstanding job here. However, the way she is written still frustrates me. At the start of episode 1, she considered the relationship shameful. I wonder if that is what is being shown in her relationship to Luke. It's clear that he loves her. But I've always wondered about her affection. Maybe it lies in that opening sentence of episode 1.

Three: I like the way the writer' s handled the assault line because it touched briefly on impact, the silence women carry because some feel powerless, as well as the response of those who care for them. Nothing is ever isolated. I wish we could get more insight into Kitty and her back story. But then that would probably change the dynamics of the show...especially since it is almost concluding.

Lastly, looking at the preview for the next episode, neither of them are ready for the next step of marriage. If they follow the novel, I believe that she is gone by the time he comes around to marriage ...if I am remembering correctly.

I don't see him as a red flag either. He's blunt as heck, and can be a bit harsh at times. He is abiding by the parameters set by the FL, considers her his girlfriend, introduced her to his friends, etc. My problem is with the character of FL :). You haven't missed a thing. :)

When they breakup, I hope it only last for 2 episodes. :)
I love their pairing. They are both flawed and as they say in the opening credits, "You don't have to be perfect to be worthy of love." The storytelling has been really good, and I love to see their ups and downs. I particularly love seeing Luke fall deeper and deeper in love....and the handsome idiot doesn't seem to realize it.

Totally agree on this. I never saw him as a red flag. As I continue to watch, I am beginning to wonder if she is even ready for a relationship...I may be wrong, but I think she is more career-oriented...and that is not a criticism. Being fresh out of college, who wouldn't want to build a career. She just didn't see him coming:).

You know, I don't see Luke as a Red Flag. I see him as someone who has been impacted by his upbringing.

Luke man, you are deeply in love with this girl. Even the childhood friend could see it.
It will be interesting to see how the writers tackle the personal challenges to bring these two people to a place where they can have an open and honest relationship...flaws and all.

Yep. And I leave for work at 5am. I'm loving the story, and JBR won't let go of me.
