Maybe I’m too old. But the weaponised incompetence of the FL is just too much to take. She won’t speak up…
I agree on your assessment of the female lead. Her character's growth wasn't paced right. It was awkward & forced.
The male lead is trying to keep everyone's jobs by keeping the company going. Yeah, he didn't go about it the right way, & was aggressive about it, but it was explained that he was stressed (not a great excuse though) and it wasn't his real personality. We see him start to act more like himself when he starts falling for FL & then more so when he reconnects with her when he finds out she's his childhood friend. So it wasn't exactly a 180° change.
And after everything you complained about... you somehow find her best friend "good" and "overall decent"? Um, maybe by the end she kind of redeemed herself, but throughout the entire middle of the drama? Her actions? Decent? 😂 That's funny. I don't even know what to say there.
Reporter Kim had a strong personality & liked to joke around but he was by far the most sincere & lovable person in the drama.
The character (her sister) who committed suicide: in the story she seemed deeply ashamed of herself, and like she couldn't handle that. And then take into account her personality. i don't think you can simplify it as "committing suicide because of men".
If you've never been depressed, you may not understand that it can take *anything* deeply upsetting to a person who is already prone to depression to push them over the edge. For someone like her character who is quiet & reserved, being deeply ashamed over what happened with that manager could've made her feel like she just could not face herself anymore. Yes it was a sad, rash decision to jump. And many people may not be able to sympathize with it. But in the world of mental health, that's sometimes how it goes - irrational decisions brought on by extreme emotion that the person thinks/feels they cannot handle. I know this from experience.
Does some company own the exclusive rights to this drama and they aren’t letting it go? I can’t find it on…
I watched it on bilibili.tv with eng subs. It's a site like YT, so idk if the videos are still up. I live in the US & I think I may have had to use a VPN to watch it.
ya know, every time I think "Maybe I'll watch this show. I've heard how amazing it is", I come to the comments…
I put it off for a long time too for the same reasons, but it really is worth watching at least once. It's worth the tears you may (most likely) shed. I actually enjoyed the story (& especially LSG's acting) so much, that I even went back & rewatched it twice now... each time knowing I'd be sad all over again. 🤷♀️🥺
Not a spoiler! We arrived at this long ago. More likely half-brothers, but we shall see!
From someone who hasn't caught up on the eps yet, I want to thank you for putting a spoiler tag. I appreciate it. I was scrolling through comments to see if it's a drama I want to continue watching, and people are posting way too many spoilers & ruining it for others who haven't watched it yet. So, thank you for being considerate.
if people want to discuss each episode in detail they should do it on an app like TV time. Like it was commented on, some of us come on to see whether or not it seems like a show we'd enjoy. I hate unintentionally scrolling past a spoiler. It really ruins it for me, and others, who haven't watched it yet.
And I'm here wondering how you "completed" a 16 ep drama 9 days ago... when only 8 eps had aired by then. Did you time travel?! lol
Or are you just that fueled by angst that you feel compelled to overreact in your rating? Let's be real - technically you rated this drama based on content in 2 eps, not even the full 8 you watched. 🙄
I'm not satisfied with the ending. I wanted present day Taemu and Sena to SUFFER!!! Also the ending felt rushed.…
nooo.... I'm in the middle of ep2 and I really hate those two already... do they really not suffer or get 'punished' in any way? 'Cuz idk if I can keep watching if they don't. What they both did in ep1 was just evil, and I cannot STAND evil, greedy people getting away with doing terrible things - especially to family members?! Also, you might want to mark your comment as a spoiler.

I cracked up when I read that! But you're right. I loved his acting here. 🥰
