Same with Agent Kim, the only way to enjoy this is to not overthink and apply too many real world logic. I like that there is a bit more 'realism' here than in Agent Kim tho, atleast here you see them use more gadgets and technology and not just be basically superhuman 😆
Idk if I should recap s1 but I do not see the logic on how setting up the shop protects her niece. Does he mean about the money they acquire from that? Because he was able to go under the radar for so long, if it weren't for the shop they could have kept their peace.
I was so lost on first half of ep1 but then it picks up and got interesting again. Imagine if JinMan's crew team up with Agent Kim's gang. They're so OP 😆
The story is ridiculous and unrealistic but I like it haha It's because early on they already set that tone, it's not like those other shows which has confusing themes.
Also, I think HanSoo's kid will be able to manage. That kid is a menace.
I think they'll be okay, but they definitely lost a bit of points from this. This series felt like a downgrade for both actors, specially ZLH after the success of POJ. Now what is crucial will be his next project, otherwise, people might forget his recently elevated status.
I got called hater for saying his acting is bad yesterday 😠HE LOOKS LIKE HE IS SCARED TO MAKE BIG EXPRESSIONS
Might be the ultra bright lights and overuse of smoothing filter. This drama feels like they're holding LingHe and Churan hostage to act. Holy fumble they did with this one. Such a waste of hype
I don’t know about you but for me the acting bothers me more than the AI thing… like the ml is good looking…
Idk why people are bashing only this for AI intro when most Cdramas are doing the same. Just so happens they made it obvious here with the 3D prompts. The AI is also the least of my concern with the drama, the cinematography is awful.
The sad part is that this wasn’t a low budget drama. It only looks cheap thanks to the sketchy editing and questionable…
Exactly. I immediately got the theatre vibes too, specially with those weird dialogue relay and bright lights shining on their faces. I can just imagine the Director thinking he did something unique and revolutionary for tv only to be bashed And tbh, he deserves it. It's not nitpicking, it really didn't translate well for tv.

I think the Director was experimenting and thinks it's a good stylistic choice. But it just really ended up looking cheap and tacky. Poor LingHe, he might lose momentum because of this.
Even with low budget it shouldn't be like this, I think it's Director and Screenwriter skill issue. What a waste of big names and talent. The Lament of Autumn is looking a lot better in comparison.
No wonder they kept delaying the release until now! Were they hoping we would be too distracted to notice this…
I actually think he didn't get anything done. He looks good in his early days (LBFAD) and he purposely lost weight and looked gaunt in Kunning Palace. In POJ, I think he was heavily filtered that fans forgot he doesn't look that perfect in real life. Honestly, I don't find ZLH appealing in modern dramas, but costume dramas suit him well.

Yes. And he also wasn't actively promoting. This seems to be one of those contracts he signed long before he blew up. But even with that, the quality is horrendous. I'm guessing his management is also praying the BL he shot long time ago will forever be shelved.
I feel like ZLH's management should have stopped this from airing lol He gained such elevated status from POJ that accepting this drama felt like he lost some aura.
Love him and Churan, but the cinematography is really making it hard to immerse.
What in the vertical drama, low budget show is this? 😆 I feel slightly embarrassed for ZLH know how fans are anticipating his new work after POJ. I feel the cringe in ep1, but hey atleast their face card is saving it. After now adjusting my expectations, there's no way left but up. Who knows if this will end up as a surprise. But really, it feels cringy.
It's so unrealistic, but I still like it.haha I guess because from the beginning it did not pretend to be anything else. Also I know how ridiculous the manhwa is, so I kinda know what to expect.

I feel so bad for ChuRan and LingHe.
