People saying he is too aggressive haven't read romances from late 90s/ early 2000s then. The way it is described…
Ohh it's a lot better than the other wattpad version. Thanks for sharing :)

Yes. Totally, the 90s bodice ripper novels would definitely offend a lot of people today haha
I think it was realistic for that time so I wasn't offended by it. They were both inexperience but the biggest difference is that WS is the one in position of power and QX is expected to submit, which is the practice at that time. I like the natural progression where he slowly becomes more considerate of her.

Where did you read? The better translation was only at ch60 so far. The wattpad one is just mtl :(

I’m not understand why woman who’s willingly even push some1 to marry her but still protect her virginity..its…
They changed it for TV censorship. In the novel there was never a one year mourning period. They were constantly doing the deed early on.

I'm reading the novel and onto ch60 now.
I think the story is a lot more logical in the novel AND it is really spicy 🌢 (which is rare for a chinese webnovel like this).
I saw commenters hating on WS as he literally was s**ually agressive to QX specially early on. But I gotta say I actually prefer this realism. As matured he was on other aspects, he's literally a post teenager male discovering the pleasures of intimacy and factor that in with his prideful nature of never admitting he's wrong.lol
I love both the novel and tv version! 🫢

In ep 36 when WS and BZ fight, I don't think WS lost to BZ actually, but it seemed like WS didn't want to fight…
Yes. WeiShao was not giving it his all. I think he was simultaneously thinking how they can sneakily get to Fan and save her or directly aim for LiuYan. But BiZhi is dumbdumb and won't use his head. All that strength for nothing πŸ™ƒ.

Yes. And I find BiZhi really lame despite his strength.Like use your brains too, he can fight a whole unit, atleast…
What I meant is atleast try.
If that was Shao surely he would have devised something. WeiLiang was there, Ci is also on their side, there were enemies but there are also allies available. Could have used stealth etc and made a plan to retrieve DaQiao and escape.

Episode 32 was such a good place to end it.
Agreed. For me mainstory line is already resolved at 32. And it truly felt like an ending.
33-36 was just a convoluted mess.

Listen I don’t wanna sound rude but I did not feel bad for Da Qiao 😬😬. I’m not saying she deserves it…
Yes. And I find BiZhi really lame despite his strength.
Like use your brains too, he can fight a whole unit, atleast try to recover your wife instead of being a puppet.

At one point from ep33 where things started going crazy and illogical, I just gave up and stopped rationalizing to enjoy it.
But although it tugged my heart, how stupid is Qu to strap Liang in his back and attack like that.
Like, my dude, you can let him lie somewhere first, he ain't going nowhere.

Am I the only one who was hopeful until the end for WeiLiang?
My mind while watching:
*saw him stabbed:
BiZhi avoided his vital part - he's alive
*saw him face down:
That little plate from Tao probably saved him- he's alive
*saw him hanging:
Ahh he's still alive and just being tortured
*saw him strapped on Qu's back and Qu getting nerfed:
He's suddenly gonna wake up and fight again- he's alive

Ahhhhh didn't like how he and Tao got so much airtime early on, but he grew on me πŸ₯²

Why do comments from this account sounds AI generated πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
It's annoying. I wanna see and interact with real comments.πŸ˜†
These ones takes too much space and don't even make sense.

The Chinese really aren't wrong when they jokingly say you can produce a mid drama with pretty faces and it'll…
Well, it was marketed as romance. Good romance is basically the main requirement.πŸ˜† Although I won't call it a mid drama, it's not on my S-tier list but I still think it's a good one. After the countless 'hyped' highratings dramas that I dropped, this one got my attention until the end.

They skip our couple reunion after the battle.at least they show when wei shao comeback and meet his wife and…
Yeah, I was sad about this too. In last episode there is hardly scenes of our main couple.

Yeah, I kinda agree that last episodes were written poorly.
For me it felt like it ended in ep32 and it was PERFECT, regardless of some loose ends at that point.
And then it felt like writer wants to milk it further and force a plot, sprinkle in some deaths for shock value. The last bit didn't flow nicely, too rushed, too forced and illogical. But I kinda commend some really powerful scenes ( ex: the Generals breaking down on 'that' scene).

I'm gonna continue reading the novel now as I can see they took lots of liberties with the TV version.

Title Yield to You
Because of the success of POB, I don't know how they'll manage this. There must be some pressure.
I hope it doesn't feel cheap and cringe like majority of short-form dramas.

Manman never pleaded for Wei Shao to split his troops to save Yanzhao or Liancheng. In fact she told her nanny…
That's was a good analysis, thanks for sharing!
Had it not been for Manman's wit and if WeiShao lost, imagine Manman's guilt regardless of Shao's motivation.
