Nozaki didn’t get caught because of the snow. She had told Aiba on the phone that she couldn’t go to Tokyo with him and he would understand when spring comes, because the snow would melt and reveal the corpses. I know some of the bodies were in some more obvious places but also remember it’s a small rural town and the law probably weren’t prepared for a string of murders. Also, I saw in your other comment that you were wondering what it would be like if Nozaki and Aiba had actually lived together and the answer is he would beat her. I don’t believe Aiba was a yandere, I think he was an abuser.
