Could have been so much better but still enjoyable!

I started watching this show because of the hype I was seeing all over social media, and I was looking forward to it every week but it got to the point where I felt like it was missing something especially after the final episode. I know this is based on a manga so maybe they were just trying to tell it as accurately as possible but I just felt like their wasn’t much of a “story”. Like the whole dating each other and telling people your dating before actually admitting you both mutually like each other to each other? I know that arguably was the story was the whole does he really like me thing but I just felt like there could of been more depth with that storyline? I’m not sure but I just didn’t feel completely satisfied with how their story ending with the couple. Maybe it’s because it was so hyped I guess I put it on a higher level. However that being said I still enjoyed this show than most bls recently. The actors were great and them mains together make a great couple as well as the supporting characters. I love how much Ida and Aoki care about each other even though they are shy about it. For sure do recommend this bl if your looking for something cute. I liked it!

Kept me glued to Hira and Kiyoi’s story

Fascinating, different, intriguing, just a unique show. From the cinematography, the story, to the actors. The actors portrayed their roles so well. Kiyoi and Hira are both very distinctive characters.

This drama is based off the first novel Utsukushii Kare. There are three novels. Utsukushii Kare, Nikurashii kare and Nayamashii Kare. I also heard there is fourth book with content the writer wrote of extra stuff that didn’t make the three novels. This drama only tells the very beginning of their story which is the first book. With only having six episodes I thought it told the beginning of their story well. The pacing was a mix of you wanting more to you being hooked on each scene in the average 20 minute episode if that makes sense lol. I also loved the music!!

You really have to watch it before judging off of others opinions. I actually think it’s a bit more complex and unique than your average popular boy meets shy quiet boy trope that you might be thinking. This drama is for mature audiences and not for everyone. It’s not suppose to be a portrayal of reality so don’t come into watching it thinking that. Though I do like that it showed that flawed people with certain traits do indeed also have the ability to like someone and the difficulties in forming a relationship. I like that it doesn’t hide away from that and is essentially what it is about.

This is a great example of there is more thats meets the eye. There are many different perspectives to this drama and I saw it from the perspective of a great story showing two complex flawed characters trying to figure out love. They heal through each other in a way and become better and happier together. I would just watch it and see for yourself how you feel. I enjoyed it!

My new solace show

This is one of the shows where it can be very subjective for me personally i loved it a lot really! It was heartwarming and overall just gave me so much joy. I love Talay and Puen’s love and it was just a lovely journey to watch them fall for each other more and more. Definitely will rewatch this when i want to watch something sweet. The acting i thought was good and the story was a nice sci-fi story with not much angst which i love. The ads maybe were excessive but it didn’t really bother me. Overall definitely enjoyed it! If you’re a fan of sweetness I recommend this a lot.

Tutoryim saved it for me imo

I mean everyone has their own opinion and if you loved this show good for you! However for me I just wasn’t feeling this show at all but I loved Tutor and Yim’s scenes. I wish to see more of Neur and Syn’s story or a whole show with Tutor and Yim as mains. Maybe it was the whole arrange marriage thing I didn’t like and that was like the whole plot. Also the lack of communication between the two leads and side couple infuriated me throughout the show. Some scenes felt very cringe to watch for me. There was like no substance and felt gimmicky at times. The locations look gorgeous though. Again you should just watch this yourself to figure out if you like it or not as I see zee and new like everywhere so just watch a little and decide for yourself weather you like it or not.

Had so much potential but fell through for me

Note: I did not read the book so I am just going off what I saw from the show.

I am actually sad I am giving this such a low score than I wanted to. I had so much hope for this show and really liked the first few episodes. That being said once there started to be a pattern of the same dilemmas and misunderstandings it became dragged out. I love the story idea of a painter and a businessman. I find that to be such a great idea for a story.

However after episode four I started to get bothered by how the drama was going. Episode four was probably my favorite episode. The cute moment Phap and Maze had on the beach was a really great scene to show them develop (also think it was my favorite kiss scene in the show). But for some reason after this episode it seemed like things were going backwards? Like in terms of their feelings/communication/other.

Maze was being quite hostile towards Phap multiple times really without any reason to. Only till the last episode did we really get to see it was because everyone he loved has left him. There was no clear fluidity in this drama. The side couple just added nothing much to the drama other than Nueng being Maze’s brother. Honestly the side couple would of been good if they focused on their moments it felt like boom they automatically liked each other because we never saw the development.

A lot of things you were confused on in this show that they could have elaborated more. Lots of holes left filled with unnecessary arguments or other scenes. This show was 12 episodes long and there was just so much more they could of done with how much episodes there were. Too many cuts from different scenes in different timelines that confused me weather there was a time jump or something.

lighting and actors were so good

THE LIGHTING, CAMERA WORK WERE AMAZING. Acting incredible the fact that for majority of the cast this was their first acting role. Bible is insane as Vegas. Playing such a difficult complex character. This is a very mature concept I REPEAT. Very mature. It is 18+ for a reason. If you can’t handle that do not watch this show. There are dark themes and crime shown in this fictional drama that might trigger some people. It is about the mafia, that alone should tell you all you need to know. That being said if you are old enough, mature and can differentiate between fiction and reality and want something different, this is an amazing watch. This is based on a book and I am so grateful that they toned down a lot of the violence. Otherwise I would have not kept watching it. It is interesting, intriguing and watching these complex characters go through what they are going it just takes you to a whole other world. You can tell how hard everyone worked on this drama. I really loved the use of editing, lighting and camera work in this show. I would say if it didn’t have all that and the acting my review would be different. I appreciate the camera work and actors effort a lot. It has quite a big fan base and in my opinion I think it is deserved. I would give this show a shot and if it’s not your cup of tea that is of course fine. It is an action drama.

My favorite korean bl

I smiled so much throughout this drama. It overall is just a beautiful story. I am astonished with how the pacing was for this drama. How much they fit in only 8 episodes with an average of 20 minutes. That is so hard to do without the audience feeing confused or like it was all over the place however that was not the case here at all. It just had me wanting more and more though lol.

The director did such a great job conveying this drama. The actors portrayed their characters with such class. It really gives you butterflies when watching it. The cinematography is just so beautiful and the detail. The way they used colors to portray the feelings of the characters with Jaeyoung’s being red and Sangwoo’s being blue than purple when their feelings come together. Just such a great drama.
