because kdrama viewers only understand if such plots shown as serious thriller...they are not much familiar with dark comedy or satire plots...and their sensitive hearts couldnt digest such plot shown in a comical way....and they are more into greenflag delusional romcom shits nowadays ...so this is a normal expected thing from their part

old kdramas as this kind of issue ..they give more screen time and potential for any kind of relation..bt still it would have depth compared to dramas like nowadays..i mean nowadays the existance of second ml is just for name of triangle and all and there will be no development, depth and sometiems the character must be totally useless and annoying ..

sometimes in mdl there are 4 genres can be added according to the priority of genres consider...so they add enough genres ....and romance will be subplot...so they didnt bother to specify it...bt its fun right... unexpected romance and potential will be more fun to watch..and keep low expectations is much better..what if they didnt utilize it well

maybe she is saving her kiss for her true boyfriend ..bt she dont have any other job to pursue so she doing acting as job .and she dont have enough genres of scripts to change and demand. so forced to choose this romcom because of lack of script availability..and she dont want to break her self respect and dont know how to be professional abt it ..and dont have choice to avoid this drama ...and comfortability is the most important thing when u do a show especially kissing and bed scenes .so she need that..
