I felt almost cathartic reading this... You basically said everything I wanted to, but didn't šBesides, there…
hahah I'm glad you agree. I've been trying to ignore it since I don't like to bring negative energy but it gets to a point...
right? there's plenty of the type of dramas you mentioned, it's not like there's a shortage. and that aside, I get being a slow burn or fast burn enjoyer but it's ultimately rooted in the story. you can't just be like "I wish they kissed in ep 2 and slept together in ep 3". that would be a completely different story. you can probably find one like this, but it's simply not this one!
since we're watching as it's airing, the cliffhangers probably make it even more frustrating for people and probably a lot of comments like this could be avoided by just binging this drama. but I wish they could see the bigger picture - liuyi and chusan's relationship has progressed so much already, the writers are not going in circles or stalling but developing their relationship through each stare (or avoiding a stare), gesture and line and I personally think the payoff will be worth it š¤·āāļø
I am so tired of reading comments from impatient bl fans saying nothing is happening because they don't kiss or that they should've gotten together earlier. do you actually take time to comprehend anything or just wait for intimacy scenes. the relationship is evolving with each of their interaction. the whole story wouldn't make sense if they got together quick, it would be out of character, especially for liuyi. consider actually following the story and understanding character motivations for once
yeah well then that makes sense from the point of view of Korean audience. then I guess I'll steer clear of the comment sections before I find out too much
I'm not a fan of the jump to the future since that kind of spoils the events in 1988 from the start but I hope they still manage to surprise me. that said the first episode was so good it had my full attention and a lot of stuff from the trailer already happened so I'm very curious what happens next
Man, Iām such a sucker for side couples so I was instantly excited the second I saw them show up lolI think…
I agree that side pairings sometimes have more interesting premises but by definition they get less screentime so it feels more rushed and it's hard for me to connect. I just feel not everything needs side parings, especially short dramas. but as I said this one seems promising :)
